Gold.Port would go on to choke in the preliminary final, ironically after getting the crowd to sing a Michael Hutchence song.

Pictured: Paddy is a toothless mid, and he's missing a tooth in this picture too
Paddy is a former pick 3 in the 2017 draft who has played 41 games. Yes, I'm as surprised as you.
Paddy has shown a glimpse here and there but nothing that screams "elite talent". Before Carlton fans start getting upset that yet another high end talent features in the Bottom 50, I am guided by the recommendation of no less a football judge than Greg "Diesel" Williams. He actually said publicly that Dow needs to toughen up... after Diesel spent last year coaching him. Not going hard enough is a pretty damning assessment by your own specialist coach, and it's hard to argue with. Diesel is also the aftershave brand Carlton supporters seem to douse themselves in before leaving the house, en route to either hang out in the KFC car park or outside a kebab joint in Preston.
Dow made 3 appearances this year for 27 touches and 1 goal... in total. His last game was an 8 disposal, no tackle game in September against a Giants team facing such a player exodus that even Moses is all like "whoa, chill". Given that some of those Giants players are not going to Carlton, it sounds like they're losing good players this year.
As well as needing to "toughen up", Dow just doesn't seem to be able to run out 4 quarters. That means he's not tough enough to go into the centre but not a good enough runner to play on the wing, which only leaves spending time forward for average of about a goal every three games (and with Saad and Williams next year, he's not going to the backline). I'd almost call it a wasted pick but he may well be a late bloomer, and there's always the option of trading him to Adelaide anyway.
Fun fact: I hope his name never become a verb, because screaming "going Dow on the opposition" is both awkward and conjure some horrible mental images.
Paddy, The Dowster, Dowy. Good luck over the pre-season and welcome to the Bottom 50 for 2020

The problem is that EVERY Dockers trade makes their list of The Dockers' Top Five Worst Trades.Given that Freo has been unable in recent years to get past the team that SOS built, even with the benefit of the biggest home deck advantage in football, perhaps you might lobby the club to offer Silvagni a job?
Or alternatively we could let you have Paddy Dowfor a first and a couple of early seconds.PLAYERCARDSTART15Paddy Dow

In fairness, the worst trade outcome the dockers were involved in they were the winners in the deal. S O’Reilly ring any bells my peated friend Laphroaig? The problem is that EVERY Dockers trade makes their list of The Dockers' Top Five Worst Trades.
Trading Stephen O'Reilly to Carlton seemed to work out pretty well for everyone else in the league. The problem is that EVERY Dockers trade makes their list of The Dockers' Top Five Worst Trades.

I'd say we did well in that draft, wouldn't you?
I hope soWell maybe one day you'll be able to compete with Carlton on the field.

You won a game with a kick after the siren taken by the wrong player following a questionable umpiring decision. This is a special kind of cripple fight (I should know, we have our fair share too)Well maybe one day you'll be able to compete with Carlton on the field.

Firstly, I’m a considerate lover so of course I’ll offer the reach around.A representative of another team unable to defeat Carlton comes in with a timely reach around.
and it looks as though a handful of flogs are going to melt Riewoldt into the count.
The whole 2.
I guess that does constitute a large gathering at a Sydney sporting event.
