How long does Adam Simpsons have left?

He is the head coach, he is the king of everything football in the club. He gets 1 million per season to be responsible for this. He has had complete control over it and total responsibility sits with Adam.
You don’t need any skill to run, chase, tackle and be accountable. Anyone can do that. The players do not do any of that and have not for 4 seasons. That is the fault of the senior coach. The message is stale and there is no way to get around the obvious. He has lost the playing group.
Agree with this...should have been sorted out 3 seasons ago

You just got to watch Simpson's face in the coaches box when this was unfolding Rd 17, 2021 - everything said "i'm really loving this as an old shinboner".

He's a pro, but he doesn't have the passion for the players at WC anymore, especially now as he knows he can't rely on the older players who he shared past success with.

They've gotta put a 10 year contract in front of Luke Jackson.

If Simpson admitted it's rebuild time, implemented a new game plan and dropped underperforming seniors he wouldn't be critised so much. He has built the culture of you play based on your name, rather than performance, along with no change to game plan that fans can see
Hes still in the denial stages.

Next is admitting you have a problem and dealing with it.

Then apologising to loved ones (fans)

Then paid out millions

Here's my question.

Longmire & Simpson are both premiership coaches yeah? Longmire's success inn early years at the club gave their board the confidence to allow him to oversee a rebuild for a few years. Why can't the Eagles do the same with Simpson? What makes the two different from each other position wise?

It's not like Longmire had any of Wix, Warner, McDonald or Gulden at the beginning of their rebuild though. They were all acquired in its progress whilst also seeing out the finals years of Veterans like McVeigh & Jack. The fall comes before the bounce so there's no reason why this year can't be the start of seeking a large drafting crop.

Longmire and the Swans were gifted Mills Blakey and Heeney when they were playing finals.

So when they missed finals, they got the high draft pick McDonald and Stephens plus they got Campbell for little as well.

West Coast is in a very different situation.
If they decide to rebuild instead of retooling, then it’s a 5 year rebuild not the Swans 3 year.

Simpson would need to go and the Eagles get in coach ready for a rebuild.

"Retooling" ain't going to work with that list profile. There are far too many players in the 28 - 35 bracket.

Eagles have pretty much zilch assets to get more draft capital to raid this year's draft though, that is the problem.

Things are likely to get worse before they better for the Eagles.

I think they should rebuild but the Eagles might think otherwise.

If they might think that this year was due to horrible luck and that the list can still challenge they will retool.

Currently, they have pick 2, 20, 23 and 38 plus 2023 picks as trade assets.

Jackson and English are out of contract.

They are delusional if they think this year is an aberration.

They should try use picks 20 and 23 somehow to get another top 10 pick in the draft (if possible)

Jackson would be worth giving up pick 2 for imo, but knowing them, they would never do it.
