Really good effort I reckon to go with them for that long, but we ultimately lacked the class and skill to match Melbourne

Good: We won our fair share in the midfield against a group that make our blokes look like skinny teenagers.

Bad: ROB made nothing of his dominance on the stat sheet. He has 0 hurt factor.

Grinding away to nowhere because we refuse to address the most important part of the ground. Nix isn’t a terrible coach, but he has terminal flaws that guarantees our ordinariness and his 1 club senior coaching career.

I liked the way we backed our kids in to play against plainly bigger bodied mids, they did very well and hopefully learned a lot today. Another good draft and some shrewd trades could have this team competing

Laird misses Dawson on the lead. No pressure, 15m dinky kick required and just put it way over Dawsons head. Basically sums up our day. Great spirit and effort, absolutely no ability to use the ball well by most.

Our young midfield group really took it to Melbourne at times even though a few of them didn't get a heap of ball

Should be a definitive lesson to Nick's not to clog the stoppages with useless senior players, or even worse, Matt Crouch

He brings a lot of A grade qualities.

What? Murphy didn't play a forward 50 role.

I wanted Newchurch too but you can't compare on those metrics.
