He was good particularly the last 1/4 but the issue is structure him danger selwood and guthrie are all ball hunters and they tend to lose their opponent in defensive transition which is why coll got to slingshot with free players so often. You need parfitt to balance this out as he doesnt lose his man in defensive running. Im not saying you drop atkins but they both meed to be in there.

The two big debates for the prelim are getting parfitt in and stanley vs ceglar selection.

I didn't notice that, but I believe you - I reckon the ball was bouncing their way a lot tonight. Two of their goals I remember came as a result of lucky bounces - one that bounced away from Blicavs and one from Dangerfield.

I think you're right about Parf, but part of me wonders if we'd be talking about it if Stanley didn't have such a putrid showing. He basically put his inside mids under a searing amount of heat for the entire game. We had 17 men on the field all night because of Rhys.

' last quarter stats? At the ground it felt like he really lifted, but not sure whether that's an illusion due to his sheer physical presence and attack on the ball. I was disappointed with his first half but to be fair he seemed to grow into it.

Thought MOC was good after a bad start but understandable coming in cold to a game like that. Was one of our first picked not long ago hope he stays in and gets back to that form in a hurry.

He had ups and downs. I thought overall he did well.

Nah.
Pies fans are morons so screaming "BAAWWLLLL!!!!" 10,000 times a game makes them feel hard done by.
Over all probably favoured us slightly (deliberate out of bounds, 1 or 2 dubious non calls) but nothing that effected the result.
