If Port don't play Visentini or Hayes as a 30% ruck and defensive cover, then the game is lost Thursday night imo.
But they won't, it will be chaos ball, shuffle, shuffle with the extra runner.
Will be justified as a humid night game, and written off to learnings, but they will run over Port in the last when they lose midfield.
Don't be beaten by what you know (again).

We've already lost one final this year due to this issue.

Bring on the show.

Wildcard…

They should have played the last 80 seconds of the Crows v Swans game and rigged it so the Swans win.
Perfect entertainment for the pre-finals bye.

Another little tid bit - in the past 13 games, Port has an inside 50 differential that is +10 over a Brisbane team that had consecutive weeks of thrashing West Coast and Richmond with +30 inside 50 differentials.

The idea that Brisbane is so much better than us is just not true, and if they listen to the narrative around this game and think it will just happen for them, they will lose.

Haven’t heard anyone in the national media or the analytics tipsters give us a sniff this week.

Would be nice if we could shake someone else’s tree in a big final rather than having ours shook!

On paper, we can take it up against anyone in the league, I just have zero confidence of us not being cooked mentally in the finals.

Gee I'm thinking we do ok this year, I think we make it to the GF.

In saying that if it's straight sets I can't wait to see how quickly Ken vanishes and reappears in March.

You do realise it is not the team with most i50s that wins right?

We repeatedly win i50s and lose.

It’s going to be exciting to watch our young players on the big stage. Really hoping Jhf, Butters, Rozee, Farrell, Bergman, Houston, SPP etc can step up & make themselves finals beasts. It’s one thing to be a good home & away player, it’s another thing to be great in finals.
Jhf needs a final series like dusty 2020 to give the vics some real pain

This season we’ve won the inside 50 count against Collingwood (+13), Geelong (+1) and Adelaide (+9) and lost. Collingwood and Adelaide were by far the most efficient teams for scoring per inside 50 in the competition, while if we had even three of the six players we were missing against Geelong we would have won.

Both Brisbane and Port are front half territory teams. If we win inside 50s it means we are starving them of opportunity to score.

Thanks for proving my point.

The problem is Brisbane won't need as much opportunity to score as us because they have more players that can convert i50s to goals.

Brisbanes forwards looked good v Collingwood, 3-4 very dangerous mid sized forwards.
Brisbanes defence looks stronger aerially and more settled than ours.
Their ruckman is better than ours too.
Only thing their supporters are worried about is the pace, skill & overlap run from our young mids.
I think Brisbane play a more traditional long kicking style of game, if we get our run and carry game going we might be able to carve them up through the centre & pressure them enough to protect our lame defence & make a game of it.
Lycett super important.
