Relying on two kids who are yet to play a single game of AFL footy.

Carlton's list management decisions this off season have ensured two things:
1. They won't contend for a premiership in the short to medium term, and
2. They'll avoid another period of a handful of consecutive years in the bottom 2 in the medium term.
You don't expect Moir, Binns, Lord 2 Hollands to improve? saying we're relying on two untried kids is typical and shows you have no idea about the Carlton list.

It doesnt really matter what some troll thinks or says it is just good stuff from Fudgey keeping some banter going another year of finishing ahead will quieten him down but a flag will see him out.

Collingwood's future is already set and reach for middling status and lots of talk about a glorious past (3 flags in 60/70/80 years)

but this year- there is hope - keep Pendelbury on the field and hope that their midfield can actually win some hard ball - they ahve enough firrepower to score.

next year...the yer after?

oh well.

Those names don't exactly instill fear into opposition supporters.

All clubs have a handful of raw kids they would be 'hoping' to improve, but they have to just to get back to the level Carlton were last year, let alone improve from 'contending for a finals position' to 'contending for a premiership'.

Yep, Collingwood supporters have heard all this (and more) from Carlton supporters, leading into the 2022 season.

And guess what happened?

But let me guess... Fin Macrae who is a proven dud will be taking the competition by storm soon?

The VFL that is...

They're all young, our depth is better than last year, you probably never heard of Lemney or O'Keefe either.

Like most clubs, as supporters we'd be hopeful that some of our youngsters can improve to the point that they push out some of the older players by the end of the year, but we're not necessarily relying on it to revert to our standard position as premiership contenders in 2025, given our list management strategy in the off season.

Dont know what you are mumbling about - and I don't care.
2025 the last roll of the dice for your dirty birders
Carlton is set for the next 3-4 years and growing

Enjoy.

You're not relying on your youngsters because you don't have any. You traded out all your good draft picks.

Is that right?

You'd better call up the AFL and get them to update their website, because I counted no less than 10 players aged 21 or under currently on Collingwood's AFL list...
Can sum up every player on the Pies list under 21 in one gif.

jurassic park deal with it GIF

Which youngsters are you expecting to step up this year Fudger?
Who would know?

We've got a few who have been given some game time and have been seen to have done enough to retain a spot on our list, others who have had limited game time due to injuries or the fact they weren't yet ready, and another few brand spanking new recruits who we know nothing about at the level.

But again, we're not relying on any of them to make a significant impact in order to restore us to premiership contention level in 2025.

Wouldn't expect anything less from you.

Conversely, all of Carlton's youngsters will be 'needle movers'...
So it looks like the Hawks hold the record for most consecutive years without a top 4 ladder finish, 1925-57, Blues I think are now in second spot on that list at 24 and can grab that record for themselves in just 8 short years [emoji38] we're witnessing history in the making

I reckon I could calculate the probability of that happening...

This should be fun

Also wondering what the probability is, of a current living pie supporter being around for more than 8 flags
