Not good signs for Port at this stage with their growing injury woes as well as an underwhelming trade period. Time will tell I guess.
Really surprise why? They look like they are about to go off a cliff.

Port been up for a bit, they maybe due bit of bad run. But on paper all things equal they got the better team (all encompassing) and as much room for improvement. They lost some personnel bit value to system but not sure a killer.
Struggle see how anyone can bag Port list and Port/Hinkley same time. Least one them has to be very good. Comp is pretty even at the minute but if that all luck just too hard to fathom

Nah, we are farked! Even with a fit and firing list, the succession plan just means that the playing group have a ticket to switch off in any match. I expect a few heavy losses this season and even Carr's insertion mid-season will not stop the rout.
I also think Carr's future position is compromised as Kochie is dictating the football culture and not the head coach. An outside coach with experience would be expelling the current coaches.
Massively disagree, I think on paper our team and squad is better now. Hardly a suprise given we have been finishing near the bottom for years and they have been competing without doing much.
Outside Roozee, butters and JHF - who would you realistically take in our side?
Bergman, Farrell, SPP, Rioli, Aliir, Georgiadis
Crows don't really have a genuine small forward. On that basis I'd go Rioli over Keays.
Georgiadis over Tex.
We've got Rankine and Rachele, granted a hybrid of midfield and forward. Riolis highest goals tally is 33, he's hardly a dominant small, he's ok.
I'm not taking Georgiadis over tex even at this age. Different class.
Rankine will play mid. Rachele is a medium forward.
Tex is finished in terms of playing a full season.

Georgiades over Tex easily at this stage of his career. He's a gun.
Good player, not a gun. Sticks out in the port team because the quality of the key forwards is shocking imo.
I think you'll find this one is overly biased.
I have it as 12 v 11 in a combined 23, and DBJ v Peatling probably borderline.

We might Dip Down the Ladder for a Year or Two, but you're Dreaming if you Think we'll fall off a Cliff like West Coast and Richmond. Koch doesn't believe in Rebuilds and our List Management aims to have the Club being Competitive every Season.
You statistically had the easiest draw in the competition and we had the hardest... Given your draw this year, it will highlight where you actually are and thats a bottom 8 side imo.
When you came up against the quality sides in the finals, you got smashed to pieces.

You sort of have rebuilt on the run, you got JHF who was pick 1 a year before as a top 4 side. It is a sound strategy, what you shouldn't have done is sold Houston for peanuts though still maintain that was a silly trade.

The Crows have finished lower on the ladder for at least the last five years, likely even longer.
They might have a great season this year and finally place higher, but claiming they have a better list before the season has even begun is hilarious.

Yeah, there's some weird shit going on at Port. Josh has been under Hinkley for the past two years, and isn't going to learn anything more from him this year. He will have his own style, and he would already know the changes he wants to make, which just puts the team back 12 months than it should be.
Ken's head won't be in this year, and will spend his energy looking and preparing for his next job.
A direct comparison can be had by comparing the results of head to head games.
The Crows have won the last 4 games against the Power.
I would also argue that we have the worst coach out of the two.
We can do it line by line.
Forward lines. Crows absolutely dominate this one.
It's not even close.
Midfield. Port with the holy trinity of Butters, Rozee and JHF takes that out.
Ruck. Much of a muchness between ROB and Sweet.
Backline. With the loss of Houston, I would give the nod to the Crows, not by much.
So there's not alot between the two, in my eyes anyway, but I do think the Crows have better depth at this point.

Imo the biggest recruit that may give us the edge is Davis given Nicks isn't very smart.
