Treacy is massively underrated here, by far the most well rounded forward on this list. Darcy a close second, than a decent gap

How can you say there is a decent gap between Darcy and RT, just nonsense.

Enjoy him on the weekend 😘

Thilthorpe is a gun but he only played 7 matches last year and hasn't kicked over 3 goals this year or last. Darcy is also a year younger and a physical anomaly which makes him harder to match up on, anyway they both have sky high potential

Thilthorpe absolutely is in the same discussion as Darcy.
He's ahead in goals for starters & plays more in ruck.

Think both will be multiple All Australians.
Again as per my post. If there was a draft right now or Tassie could pick a young KPF to draft it would be Sam Darcy. Read this thread for non Crows fans opinions.

Thilthorpe is great always rated him but Darcy could be a generational player

I'm asking this question with a sense of ignorance (calling it out upfront as I haven't watched a stack of him)...is Thilthorpe a Kurt Tippett like player? Tippett was very good when on. But he wasn't special.

Darcy I think can be elite. I can't say that about Thilthorpe (I'm happy to be corrected...like I said, I haven't see enough of him).

Of the list posted, I can only see Darcy reaching elite status. Quite a few of the others can certainly reach very good levels. But elite...not sure.

No. More a Nick Riedwoldt or Jeremy Cameron type. The highly skilled endurance freak who play that classic CHF role and can do everything to a very good level at minimum (and providing to be very consistent in this run since returning from injury). Whilst Thilthorpe is a good contested mark, it's probably the weakest aspect of his game.

It is interesting you mention Tippett, because Darcy is the second coming of Kurt Tippett style wise. Same kind of freakish ability in a contested marking situation, and as similarly skilled. Tippett was as special of a talent as they come (lets be real, there was a damn good reason why we tried to cheat the salary cap to keep him), however, he just couldn't stay healthy for long enough at Sydney to really capitalise on his ability, plus Sydney recruited some spud from Hawthorn named Franklin.

He contends with Walker and Fogarty in the forward line, they will always take goals off each other.

The fact that it’s Victorian commentators who are saying things like "if he was.playing for a Victorian club he would be getting more attention" should tell you what you need to know. The fact they admit it themselves is damming.
I think it’s just a lazy thing commentators say about players from interstate clubs now. It would’ve had merit some time ago but football is so much more accessible now. It’s just become part of the lexicon and a way to say X player for an interstate club is very good.

Why wouldn't Crows supporters be talking about Thilthorpe?
Is it only open for gushing over Darcy?
As it stands Thilthorpe has as much to be excited about.
Because almost all people on here from other supporter based clubs are saying Sam, it's mainly Crows supporters saying Riley

If I were picking a GF team tomorrow, it'd probably be... ... Darcy by the skin of his teeth. If I were picking a list for a 2029 flag, though, it's Darcy by the length of the Flemington.

Best young key forward the game has seen since Nick Riewoldt IMO.

The other thing people haven’t completely considered. There was a period where was played fairly consistently down back because we had Jamarra and Naughton up forward, and he did that very well too.

Just a freak.

Correcto. His left foot kicking the other day for a 207cm player (who can mark) was ridiculous.

Should be the first $2m p.a player.
He won't, because he won't move clubs. Players who move clubs (or threaten to move clubs) are the ones who get the most money, for obvious reasons.
