Cripps has been playing forward because Mckay and Curnow have either been out of the side or underdone and Kemp went down injured too who was our other marking option. Elijah Hollands would be playing Kennedy's role but he was also out for... reasons... We've already lived through life with Kennedy on the list and unfortunately it just wasn't a great fit despite being a very good player in his own right. Just like GAJ, Selwood, Danger didn't work out as well as you'd think on paper when Gaz returned home from Gold Coast, sometimes you have too many of the same type.

Kennedy's goals and assists (stacks of them so far) as a mid/forward would be valuable. I don't see any Blues midfielders providing that this season.

His scoreboard impact has increased though so maybe he's simply going to have a career best season under Bevo.
