Duursma out the door is on him.

He’s been given opportunity after opportunity and still does **** all.

What more does he want? He’s now being given game time that he hasn’t earned.

If he wants out it’s on him not being good enough.
Give until the end of year to assess. Can’t judge based off a couple of games, especially when 100+ game vets pick and choose when to turn up.

Michael Scott van deferens had a better chance of finding consistency than Duurs and others getting dropped after a couple of games.

I don’t think I have disliked a footballer for us more than I do Daniel. He just flat out refuses to pick anyone up. Then when he needs compete he actually can’t. What a joke.
Agree - and causes absolutely confusion with ball in hand coming - or trying- to come out of the backline. Then under pressure kicks poorly on his left foot - to a poor option - equals turnover and probably scoring opportunity for opposition - time and time again

3rd was the problem
Getting it out of the backline
2 OOB and turned over a couple more
Just eye wateringly unbelievably bad footy from execution to the whole pressure aspect of holding them when they were getting a lot of it
Completely winnable game of football that we just do not compete for 4 qtrs 100%
FOS inboard was being ignored -- did any of the 3 even look inboard? No confidence in their skills? 🤯

We cannot be playing Daniel from now on. It’s beyond the joke. He can only get the ball in space as he can’t win a one-on-one with his size and any kick (looking at you Hardeman) that is an aerial contest, he will lose.

You are basically playing one man down, down back.
Remarkable how such a small man can be a beacon for the opposition.

Bad handballing is bad football. Wilphil spoke about this as a first year player but it just has not improved. Handpasses to the feet, looping death passes, things that you try to work on with U11’s.
Our ability to completely miss handballs or give the ball to a teammate who is under more pressure than the handballer is a constant that hasn't improved for years

I used to feel this pretty strongly but at this stage I don't think we can count on the young to stay if we keep putting in efforts like this as our ceiling (and last week as our floor). Duurs almost out the door, and some of the others would be genuinely insane to extend (eg. Wardlaw)
Duursma is NOT almost out the door. FFS it was a bullshit rumour with zero credibility.

Good performance..
If we can add a bit more leg speed and faster ball movement we will knock these bottom 8 teams off.
Colby is the only one able to generate run at the moment.
It’s on Clarko to implement some run into our foot passing game-plan for the remainder of the season

Spot on. Yet we like to kick to undersized players, and wonder why the ball gets intercepted. Last week we kicked out from full back to Banch on multiple occasions too, at time hes had 2 opponents on him, and another one was a foot taller than him.
Daniel cant defend a 1:1 contest and his disposal from uncontested possession is poor.

He always runs one way then doubles back when he sees there is no option and has to kick to the other side of the ground, but now under the pressure of being called to play on. Or he kicks 12 m to a sheezel or hardemann and risks the call of "no 15" and a turnover.
He's playing an easy role of getting uncontested backline disposals from kick ins. A young player should be getting those, so they can get some confidence, and would probably use the ball better too.

First time seeing FOS in person for Nth, he is always in the right places and doing the right things but gets ignored most of the time.

He's often open in the corridor and rarely outright loses a contest, but nobody goes to him.

He’s a gun.

He’s as good as any kid we’ve drafted in the last 5 years.

He’s harder than most.

His potential is enormous.
