the last opportunity we had late in the game just couldn't spill up to the right position for one of our players to be able to grab it to have a short...was frustrating. I was expecting us to get pumped in the last but they responded so I was at least not as disappointed as I could have been.

Still go missing in a quarter or two and always costs us in these games where we have narrow losses.

We backed in Sheezel to go 1v1 against him whilst Sheez found it easy NWM court him on the overlap.

Powell played more out the back of stoppage and was solid i thought set up alot of attacking play. 8 score involvements show it.

Yet the same turnovers just kills us. We would have to be the worst handballing & kicking team in the league.

Basic handballing to a teammate running past we fumble or choosing to handball to a teammate that’s flat-footed. Our 15-20m kicks are terrible. Bombing the ball inside 50 instead of at least trying to hit a target.

And being where we are ladder wise is no excuse. There are teams that are near us in terms of ladder/development that at least have the fundamentals in kicking & handballing.

Then you watch the better teams and see how under pressure they still hit targets including inside 50. You realise we’re so far off it.

There’s lots of problems with this club but this issue stands out when you watch the games and it needs addressing.

Gotta be training intensity. Has to be. They all have the skill set, we just go to water under pressure. We can’t sustain any level of intensity.

We didn't lose because of the umpires. We lost because we are a mentally fragile, sloppy football team who lack leadership on and off the field.

But, the test will be in a few weeks when the AFL announce the 16 to do the first week of finals. The best 16 - and then we track back how many times we got each. I'm betting none of O'Gorman, Bryce, Tee and Dore will be in the 16. Unfortunately, they sweep the shit under the rug in the non free to air timeslots we inhabit because we're shit too.

Every week we get the worst.

I thought we were going to be in for a typical blow out, especially with that 3rd quarter.

We didn't deserve to win that, nor had any right to be as close as we were.

We did look good when we had some quick movement and handballs. Other than that, an overall disappointment.
Banch, Larkey, Sheez and Kerch looked good.
RHJ very dissappointing, Harvey quiet, same with Duursma.

For those concerned about Banch not hittin the score in 3 games, well one he was a sub, second game was a 101 loss to Geelong, and then this game he went off injured. Give the lad time.

I see Payne got 6, get him in. I wouldn't be against Trembath also getting a call up.
