I rather enjoyed the moment where Ginnivan had the ball and the Collingwood people began to boo him, and it was drowned out by Hawks fans cheering him. I thought that was priceless.Anyone else notice the hawthorn chant went out that sounded a lot like the Collingwood chant.. well-done to the crowd for that one. My mother in law is a Collingwood fan she nearly swallowed her false teeth![]()
That's easy. N.Daicos. You should know that by nowMy like button has gotten some workout in this thread!
Honestly couldn't pick a Best On Ground, too many options.
Season's still alive, return of Hokball, good times.
I was very tempted to go find the Eagles posters from a couple of months back who were laying it on thick about Ned Long being a better player than Nash has ever been....Just wanted to add a bit of Nash love. His kicking, physical impact and ball handling were top shelf.
Brilliant game by our lads, this has been brewing for a month or so, hopefully there's a bit more improvement left in the tank. Haven't seen such a dominant midfield from us performance all year, more please!
His goal kicking has improved out of sight.I was very tempted to go find the Eagles posters from a couple of months back who were laying it on thick about Ned Long being a better player than Nash has ever been....
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ayIn assessing the incident, Match Review Officer Michael Christian said Newcombe's attempt to tackle Howe was 'not unreasonable in the circumstances' and did not constitute a reportable offence.

Me too. When it’s broken down like that I realised as big as the loss of Will Day is it’s not insurmountable to us winning the flag if the buy in to the system is there. Sure, our midfield is not stacked with star power but with synergy built from the running half-backs and hard-working wings and half-forwards that game style from last night can beat anyone. And it’s awesome to watch!Imagine this kind of analysis in footy media. Really like Jeff's content.
I just asked my wife ‘who do you think I have a man crush on’?Got a serious man crush on this bloke…
I don't think the Richmond drop-off will be too big. They seem to have absolutely nailed the majority of their draft picks from last year and I can see them going past several clubs a lot faster than most people might think.Collingwood fans couldn’t wait to see the back of Ginnivan after bringing in Schultz, what a backwards bunch they are.
Weird club, clearly afraid to make a tough call on some senior players, Pendlebury an all time great, but he’s finished, and wants to go again for the record.
They’ll roll out Sidebottom, Elliot, Howe, Miocheck, WHE again and expect to contend, McCrae is delusional.
Richmond type drop off coming
Yes pleaseIs there a gif of Nash body slam on daicos? Full WWE.
Excellent analysis! Our tactic for Daicos was brilliant - a team focus that emphasised our player's strengths, rather than a straight tag.
At stop-ball contests, Worpel generally stood inside Daicos - using his body to block Daicos getting a clean run at the drop. Daicos invariably tried to win the ball (Worpel was in the way), even starting wrestles with Worps before the bounce. Then at the bounce, Worpel went ball hunting - as he was closer to the drop, Daicos was regularly forced to switch defensively rather than break into space.
At the same time, Nash was pivoting from his opponent to Daicos - so if Nick did mange to get possession, Nash was already closing at speed from the other side - in his face immediately. Finally, in transitional play Ward was keeping a close-ish eye on Daicos, using his stamina/speed to always be working back diligently to cover whilst still being an offensive option on overlap.
Nick may not have had a great game, but actually went up in my eyes - he worked damn hard defensively, covered massive amounts of ground - and whilst he was still a ball hog - most of his possessions had offensive intent and purpose.
Mum has raised them well. It's more Pete that's a bit of a sore winner. Both Boys are pretty respectful.
