well I have to admit i was initially a bit worried about some of our players not performing as well as I would have liked. But things improved and it was a delight to watch my boys play. I also really enjoyed Hodgey doing the commentary. and kane as well.

I kept a watchful eye on Breust, what a player he has been for us... n ever gives up trying

here is to a good finals series for us

I thought that Nash played arguably his best game for us. He has the tools to be a truly dominant player in the league. Getting better all the time.

Used his size to break a lot of tackles this week. While that's not new, it's great to see it happening multiple times in a single game.

I often wonder if he stands out more some weeks because they have him playing less of a sacrificial, defensive role.

Otherwise it definitely looks like there's still another level there.

Anyword from Peter Daicos? He was very vocal when they beat us earlier in the year

No official announcement from Daicos Snr. on them being 'caught out'.

But there was this found footage of his Hawthorn trauma:

Imagine this kind of analysis in footy media. Really like Jeff's content.
Great video. One thing that really stood out that I often overlook is how good Ward's hands are. He hit a couple of brilliant ones, especially when he was in defensive 50, fell down and still managed to find his team mate on the run.

Shout out to Worps and Chol both had shockers in the 1st quarter but they were brilliant for the rest of the game.

Worps clamped Naicos and hurt him the other way. Naicos had zero damage.
Chol redeemed himself with a huge 2nd quarter.
Noticed Ward and Worpel often had Naicos during transition play and hurt him the other way. Especially Ward with his running power and elite skill.

Yes, he is really turning into a quality player, underrated by the media.

The beauty of having Sic, Scrim, Battle and Barrass all playing well allows our runners to take risks and run forward of the ball knowing that even if the ball is turned over our defenders will win it back.

Notions of dropping or even trading Scrim are utterly nonsensical.

But hey, it’s Bigfooty…..

🤦🤦🤦

Cheers for these! I save them for when Dwayne is about to come on SEN at work they’re a godsend

Yes, I have noticed that. The work is shared around. It shows up in the stats.

Last night. for example, 11 Hawks had over 20 dsposals, but none had more than 28. Apart from Bruest and Dear (the subs) only Barrass (8) had less than ten. It is often like that. A very even spread.
There have only been three times this season that a midfielder has picked up 30+ possessions. The last one was Massimo in round 8...

Yep, good luck taking a contested mark as an opposition forward against that quartet of aerial power.
