LoL

Geelong had 348 disposals in the single game you have isolated, Pies had 312 last night.

The disengenuos one at his best, nuance and detail always important.

A long range goal 🤣🤣

You must have loved the AFLX when they have soooper goals.

GAJ played 5 finals in his first four seasons - he avg 15 disposals, 3 clearances, 7 CPs and 1.4 goals.

GAJ also played a PF against Brisbane at the G, he had 13 disposals, 1 clearances, 7 CPs and just 3 inside 50s....
Can you give us some player ratings for the goals scored from stoppages last night?

Or help show the lack of defensive pressure from the Collingwood midfield group that lead to scores.
I think it was
7.2 to 2.2 in the third quarter.
Is that right?

Don't worry, in Fadge's mind Collingwood played wonderful - a team effort it was.

More like a team effort that lead to pressing the self-destruct button.

Too reliant on Pendles as a back of the pack sweeper.

Pies as a team were poor, Naicos couldn't do anymore as evidenced by his 26.3 player rating.

Most players would be lauded for getting a player rating of 26 in a PF, but for Naicos it means the haters come out 🤣

But in the past you have said you dont rate player ratings. Now you bring it up.

Anything to suit your narrative.
The narrative is that Naicos has had the best first four seasons of any player in the modern era.

And he has been in the Pies best in every final he has played so far.

Laughable when people jump on Naicos because the Pies lost. He had most CPs, clearances, disposals and was 2nd most inside 50s for us. But a 26.3 player rating game is a "gotcha" because the Pies lost.

Like the Cats, the Pies aren't into the get 50 games into them asap mentality.

We’ve done exactly that with a bunch of youngsters over the past five years - SDK, Holmes, Mullin, O’Sullivan and Dempsey for starters. All of those players have had periods where they looked out of their depth at senior level but we’ve persisted with them and all seem to paying off.

Couldn’t do anymorešŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚, could have kicked a goal, could have stuck a tackle, could have got the ball when it mattered, could have not turned it over, could have looked to link up through the midfield instead of taking the kick ins, could have not got caught with ball ball all the time, could have done some hard work rather than run past team mates for easy possessions, could have taken a contested mark even. Ha ha Jesus.

A bit like when you ignore ratings most of the time.
Yeah, Nick was one of the Pies best.

But Lions would have had top5 players on the ground...but what would I know, I am just a biased Pie.

The player ratings are the best judge of impact on a game...a 26.3 is amazing. Matched Dusty's 2017 QF against the Cats šŸ˜

Naicos just adding to his finals greatness story.

You give your talented prospects a game or two and then back to VFL to develop, whereas other teams play them in AFL through that VFL development phase that they get at the Cats. That's been the case for SDK, O'Sullivan and Dempsey. Holmes is a bit exceptional - and Mullin was a 23 year old Irishman when he debuted, so irrelevant to the point. Good kids at the Cts play more VFL than at other clubs.

Think that’s what sums it up for me, thinking of those next level in terms of caliber it’s that ability to step up and take responsibility even if it doesn’t come off

Dangerfield on Friday night willed himself to contests and put himself in the position to impact
Even in those finals against Richmond when it didn’t quite come off he still had similar moments when he absolutely tried his guts out and left it all out on the field

By contrast I didn’t see that desperation from Nick last night, just seemed to be going through the motions looking for others to do the hard work

Well, to some degree that's how the team is setup. They want to have him on the outside ready to release, and great when it's all working to plan.

I think even a 90 year old Pendlebury makes a bigger difference to that team than some even realise.

But yes as for Nick, being able to stamp himself even in those trying situations will be where he can take the next step. The key will be how much extra strength he can pack on without losing too much of the speed.

Here is just the Pies v Lions player ratings for you šŸ‘

8 Lions in the top12, shared the load really well.

Poor Nick easily the most impactful player on the ground, but didn't have his running mates in DeGoey, Sidey, Long, Lipinski and Pendles join in like they did against Adelaide.

Yes and no,
Star players are also given licence to make moves if they see fit, especially when the chips are down

They make things happen

you could have also mentioned, that he could have stopped trying to umpire the game :p

Going off this player rating system for the season, Daicos isn't top 10 this season. Not sure it is the best system.

I know the Tigers love their player ratings

Naicos the standout player on the ground last night with a player rating of 26, just shaded by Danger.

So yelling at umpires and demanding 50m penalties earns a lot of points then?

Zorko 9 I50, Ashcroft 9 SI, but somehow Daicos running around flapping his arms and having near zero impact in the 4th quarter is the 2nd best player of the weekend?

No wonder people have zero faith in these ratings.

Yep to all mentioned, the reason people pile on is because Collingwood fans make Daicos out to be the second coming of christ.

Unfortunately he is just an alter boy.

The thing is, if Collingwood fans just say "Daicos is a top 10 player in the league" I don't think anyone would have a problem with it.
