Not because of me, because of the Integrity of the AFL.
What idiocy is this argument?

Truly bring down the quality of the main board with your inane ramblings. But this takes the cake.

It was a trade between two willing clubs FFS.

Let's not be mean to the Punt Rd philosopher. He's just pointing out the obvious that the reason Geelong is so strong is because of their 22nd and 23rd picked players this week.

It's not Cameron or Danger or Holmes or Smith or Blicavs or Stewart or Stengle or Atkins or Miers that have made us the team we are. It's Jack Bowes and Jhye Clark.

Aristotle Pickett when Richmond pick up Tom Lynch for free. 😍

Aristotle Pickett when Geelong pick up Jack Bowes for free. 😡 NO INTEGRITY!

How's Bowes workin out for ya?

Pretty well actually thanks for asking.

How's Jack Bowes workin out for ya?

As I said. Pretty well.

Why would you pay Jack Bowes half a million a year?

To try and win a flag? Or maybe just to annoy you.

Taranto and Hoper were mistakes. How'z Jack Bowes workin out for ya?

Pretty well. Probably better than Taranto and Hopper.

Lol . Come off it, all I did was post an article from the AFL website by respected journalist Riley Beveridge about how the Bowes/pick 7 gift is helping you win premierships .
It's factual.

1. An article from Beveridge is an opinion. Not a fact.
2. I am responding to you arguing that for league integrity he should have been forced to a bottom team. I.e. Idiocy.

Not at all and well done to them for fitting all the stars under the same salary cap as every other club. Great to see what every club can achieve within the rules...right?View attachment 2437264
Ah yes Garry Lyon the well known high profile Geelong member

Being gifted Alex Rance for nothing, buying Tom Lynch at no expense beyond his contract, and drafting Dustin Martin at a pick higher than any selection Geelong has had in the history of the draft’s existence helped you win 3 of them.

So far Bowes and Clark haven’t helped us win any and if/when they do, they’ll have played a peripheral role.

Tell me, is there going to come a point where you develop the coping skills to deal with the workings of a group of men that you don’t know who chase around a little leather ball to the stage that it doesn’t keep you up at night? I’ve f**ked up a uni degree, a marriage, spent time in a mental health clinic, dealt with epilepsy, and somehow managed to be at peace with it all.

Yet you seem to think some guys getting hired for employment is going to bring about the downfall of western civilisation and I get the impression you’re about 3 weeks from establishing some sort of quasi-tent embassy outside of Kardinia Park in order to protest it

Bowes chose Geelong, he should have been made to go to the lowest club.
How many times has this been explained to you?
Bowes had a contract and was entitled to stay at GC.
He did them a favour by agreeing to a trade. You think he should have had no input into where he went?
Why would he agree to that?

Yes!

How is this even allowed?!

Not sure how many people who saw Zach's tentative missed shot for goal early in the 3rd Q of the 2017 QF, which was raced down the other end for Vlastuin to kick one of his very rare goals and lead the Tigers to a big win, or Rd 1 2018 when the same boyish figure of Zach was outmuscled and outmarked by Rough-Face of the Hawks would have thought he would turn into one of the most dependable and essential defenders in Geelong's side now. Credit to Zach and Geelong's development, he has been a perfect example of why Geelong continually competes. Arguably if his surname wasn't Guthrie Geelong may not have even picked him as a rookie. Full credit to him, he has been a magnificent player for several seasons now.

You keep saying trade. There was no trade. Geelong gave up no player or draft pick.
You might find the rules get changed about this type of thing, there is a lot of discussion.
You can't have a team making the prelim nearly every year and getting these gift deals.

Sure you can. Just watch.
