A first, Hayward and Florent, who will be Best 23, is plenty.

A second is likely coming back our way so it’s basically a downgrade of next years first to Carlton’s second.

Trade Period Journos.

Hey Chat GPT. Give me 10 different tweets that explain Will Hayward and Ollie Florent look likely to be part of the Curnow trade from Carlton. Both players didn't want to leave the Swans.

Both Hayward & Florent have been perennial sources of frustration for mine. Like everyone, I rate what they bring at their best. We just don't see it anywhere near enough and 180+ games in and at 27 years old, it feels like that's never going to change.

Hopefully the club have handled this as respectfully as possible and both guys are dealing with it okay.

Still closed. I offered TheGoatBaron mates rates of $1.05 on Sydney but he passed.

Best mates moving together is always easier

Not to Carlton he's not, even if you consider him useless.
Not how a salary dump or getting rid of a contract works, eg Bowes is best 23 at Geelong and Clarry will be best 23 at GWS but it was still clearing salary to get rid of them.

Oliver this year too. There’s a reason Mel is not getting a first for him

If we don't get Curnow, do we need to dump Florent's salary? Even if we do get him, do we know if it's that bad?

Suns were desperate to offload Bowes.

Oliver isn't just a salary dump, the relationship is untenable.

I know it probably will be the later one of the three but if we can either get away with Hayward + Florent + 11 for Curnow or Florent + 11 + F1 that would be amazing. Think it ends up being Hayward + Florent + 11 + F1 for Curnow + 54 + F3.

54 will probably be worth like #47 or so when the Carmichael bid comes in to swallow it up.

Also yes Hayward is above average but think I'd rather us have a combination of Curnow + King/Dattoli in the forward line than that of McLean/Buller + Hayward (Like we did last year)

Its not really a salary dump but more of a senior list spot dump or "adjustment"

As robbieando has pointed out we are ultra tight on senior list spots if we expect 3 academy matches in the national draft
