Just so many , i hope the swans over there are behavingYou're surprised an opposition supporter would want to banter about a potential trade between the clubs for their respective players? That's all I've been doing. I suspect once the trade is done, I'll be gone as will the Swans supporters from our board. As far as Im aware all my interactions here have been cordial and good natured with your fellow Swans supporters.
I feel like im repeating myselfbut Curnow makes it easier to get there then its up to the players to not go into their shells.
Yeah, which is why when trying to improve a list you should probably be looking at the weakest components of it. For us, that's the KPPs at either end.
Unfortunately for Oliver, he's getting an absolute pasting on our board. Ridiculous IMO.

He doesn’t
The style of game in Grand Finals doesn’t suit big forwards and the modern game has moved away from them towards quality mediums and small forwards
We’re trading away one of the best medium forwards in the league and mortgaging our future for a dying breed
This is Fevola trade levels of stupidity
Florent yes, hated having him in defence. Hayward not so much. Mostly liked him. Both Hayward & Florent have been perennial sources of frustration for mine. Like everyone, I rate what they bring at their best. We just don't see it anywhere near enough and 180+ games in and at 27 years old, it feels like that's never going to change.
Hopefully the club have handled this as respectfully as possible and both guys are dealing with it okay.
You are right. I'm pretty sure they have been thinking and planning for it. This now gives us some intriguing options.CC would be great in red and white. I'd love to see Logan Mc, Amartey and CC in the same forward line. My concern is what is the plan with the forward lines small, mediium size types, if the intention is for us to utilise Heeney 70% in the forward line, with Mills spending more time back in the mids, that could work. But i dont feel that Haywards absence can be adequately covered by anyone as we only have the traditional smalls available to fill the void such as the likes of Dattoli, Campbell , Rosas etc but I'm sure the Swans brains trust is all over this!? Perhaps Logan plays more of the roaming half forward given that he isnt a great contested great and seems to have good footy smarts?
Fair enough. I disagree, personally. We were above the AFL average for clearances this year and below it for goals inside 50. Makes sense that that's where we would be looking to improve the list for mine.I actually think our current weakness is lack of talent/depth in our mids outside of Heeney, Gulden and Warner.
Rolling the dice that Mills will get back to form, Gus takes the next step without addressing it IMO

If we get Carlton's F2 back that would be a good deal. Their F3 might be tenable. Or this year's.![]()

2 players and 2 first rounders
That's more than we should have paid.
It's not done until it's done. Ollie and/or Will could have a change of heart & refuse to be traded. Who knows, maybe other team mates are telling them to stay. I'd have no issues if either or both players change their mind & refuse to be traded.
I think you forget they are still human beings and develop close relationships at the clubs. This is one of the reasons delisting is so hard for a player. The psychological affect on a player can be devastating. you can talk professional all you like but professional only means they get paid,. It has nothing to do with the friendships they develop and the routine of a place that now feels comfortable. It's called the homeliness of the known. The comfort of the known.
If Amartey can stay on the park he won't be getting the no.1 defender anymore which may add another 20 goals to his annual tally.
Waiting for the new Curnow thread , who will be 1stI only watched Carlton when they played us so a tiny sample size does Curnow like to draw the defender and lead to the ball? or is he a more wrestle type.
I think they will need to get used to their leading patterns and space
