I'd be asking Bruest, Boak and Guthrie (probably in that order) about assistant coaching roles.

These are the best suggestions I've seen here by a country mile.

Lloyd Johnston delisted from suns, had talent IMO.
Alwyn Davey / Tex Wanganeen could re draft or Alwyn Daveys little brother Alijah Davey or cousin Waylon Davey.

or someone from tiwi bombers list - Anthony Munkara, Frances Tipunwuti

I think there is litle chance he makes the rookie draft. Perfect player for a team in contention. Suits Fremantle, Hawks, Adelaide, Collingwood, even Brisbane should they lose Ah Chee.

Did we really need to sign Edwards? Feels like a feel good signing of a mate at this point.

I rate Edwards higher than McMahon. Edwards shows far more versatility in his playing style and goal kicking ability. McMahon is a lead kick full forward who’s also undersized.

I love that we are tabling the offer nearly a year early. Gives Mitchell plenty of chances to answer the question of whether Weddle is staying or going.

Should chuck in offers to Day & Newcombe too.

Its hard to know real $ value of players with the impending salary cap lift and the saints inflating the market.
I like it as a strategy though as we do have cash to splash on both Bailey/weddle and it puts pressure on both the playing groups willingness to "stick together" and the cap space.

McMahon is 197cm, he just needs to add weight, Edwards put on quite a bit during his time off with knee, so will be interesting to see how he goes next year.

If McMahon can add size in the preseason he could be a good prospect too.

will be hard to get a game though - Wright, Caddy, langford assume take 3 key tall positions.
then you have May, Vissentini, Jones, Cox*, Edwards, McMahon all possibilities to play forward.
McMahon knows how to find the goals in the VFL and will at least provide selection pressure.
