Just a bizarre and unnecessary statement that helps no one.being on record as vowing to clear tom's name, is why people in that position generally offer 'no comment' to the cameras.

Not really.
2-10% false accusations based on the metanalysis in the quoted paper.
One sick puppyGeez just read some of the victim's evidence. This wasn't just a case of sneaking up in the dark and not getting enthusiastic consent. He restrained her and ignored repeated pleas to stop.

MAP is considered one of the worst places to be in terms of prison conditions, more restrictions than remand centre and an actual prison unit. Plus it can be extremely volatile given the turnover of people.Does anyone here know much about the conditions of the Melbourne Assessment Prison for where Silvangi is being held? ie is it the same as prison? And is this somewhere people on trial are held indefinitely till sentenced? (If yes, harsh for those who in fact innocent.) On another note, is this where the guy on trial for the Easey St murders has been held all year since being extradicted start of the year?
Denial is one hell of a defense mechanism.being on record as vowing to clear tom's name, is why people in that position generally offer 'no comment' to the cameras.

Never got that expression as puppies are great.
Do you have a linkGeez just read some of the victim's evidence. This wasn't just a case of sneaking up in the dark and not getting enthusiastic consent. He restrained her and ignored repeated pleas to stop.
Do you have a link
You're taking a really strange angle on this making it about the others in the family. The story is absolutely horrible, Tom's behaviour was atrocious and he is going to be going to jail for a very long time and basically destroyed his own life in a night through his own actions. That's without even mentioning the toll on the victim, good on her for having the guts to report it and see justice served.
Not sure AFL related point scoring is really called for but whatever floats your boat I guess.
Just a bizarre and unnecessary statement that helps no one.
I wonder if they had any DNA from the victim, I would assume a rape kit was done.
I haven't seen that reported anywhere.
It’s a shocking shocking look.Got to wonder how the Saints AFLW players will feel after this, he is so prominent at the club. His statements imply the female victim is lying even though the court found otherwise.
Oh of courseSpeaking as a parent I'd probably end up with a longer sentence for a more serious crime... oh wait you're talking about the perp's family.
Oh of course
I can't imagine how awful this is for the victim and her family.
I suppose its relative. Xavier college education and a mansion is rich in most peoples eyesThey arent even rich. 100% its entitlement. Growing up believing you own everything you touch.
Sadly the penalty will be a slap on the wrist. And in 12 months he will be the victim.

Amazing how many people get caught via something daft altering electronic documents. Unless you are really really good it can be picked up from forensic document analysis with relative ease. And the prosecution are absolutely going to spend some money on any electronic receipt presented as some kind of alibiExactly. It’s hard to be found innocent when you’ve botched an uber receipt. So it makes just about zero sense about how they’ve gone about this.
Well his phone would have been handed in to police with his uber history. You can’t fake that. I dare say he simply doctored a screen shot to try and convince her she “dreamt” itAmazing how many people get caught via something daft altering electronic documents. It was digital rape from what I understand.
I am sure that you can! As a woman and club member of an AFL Club that has had its fair share of problems with players getting hammered on a night out with team mates and it ending in a female being sexually assaulted. It IS a cultural thing especially when mixed with alcohol or drugs. He knew exactly what he was doing AND that it was wrong! I think he’s lost everything because of one bad decision… his freedom… his career and his self respect. Sad but only HE can take responsibility for what he’s done and try to make amends. He has a long time in jail to think it over. OH and FTR the ‘victim’ (what a terrible thing to be) the lovely woman can talk all she wants about it!!! I THINK SHE HAS EARNT THAT RIGHT!Tbf im not sure you can pin this one on the footy industry just because his dad and brother are footballers.
That’s her choice she has earnt it!
