I once heard him described as liking the smell of his own fartsWorse part of winning and wanting to listen to everything means listening to that grub Whatley such a w***er
Yep.do you have the On The Couch segment GR?
Jack reckons we'll win 4 of our next 5. The rest weren't convinced. They don't see us as favourites against Carlton
"they have no real leadership down back in terms of experience"
Upon watching the replay I didn’t realise how much worse the umpiring truly was.
Holding not paid, deliberates not paid, kicking in danger, blocking, 15m, non marks being paid, vice versa, it was all over the place lol!
They adjudicated the whole game the way they do fourth quarters for Collingwood.
"they have no real leadership down back in terms of experience"
apparently LMac and Caleb were de-listed
To be fair Parker is different gravy to that pair. He organises off the ball and is always talking to his teammates. A top footy brain. Daniel is there to use the ball. LMac to win some 1 on 1s. Neither really offer that ‘coach on the field’ Parker does. They all three played well though. Let us hope that continues.
Adam Simpson on commentary referred to it as getting/having "Sunday umpires".I believe it's well known that they put more experienced umpires on the prime time timeslots, which means we often cop the shit end of the stick. So I thought I'd have a quick look at this past weekend.
On Sunday we had:
Nicholls - 449 games
Elani - 101
Bryce - 38
Clamp - 1
Avg - 147 games
Thursday night:
Mollison - 388
Howarth - 135
Toner - 90
Adair - 50
Avg - 166 games
Friday night:
Meredith: 530
Hosking: 292
Johanson: 101
Rodger: 71
Avg - 249 games
When I figure out how to pull all the data I'm going to run a full season. I'm convinced we've been copping shit umpires in our games.
Yes I can't sleep.
Henceforth known as “Skidmarks” Horne-FrancisSaw something written today that Sunday should provide closure with the JHF saga.
Are they effing kidding? The guy left us high and dry when we were on our knees as a club.
He didn’t indicate any possibility that he would stay so we could get a better trade either.
Port are absolutely no where and once Butters departs it’s going to get a lot worse.JHF while good has shown he isn’t truly in the elite and even more pressure will fall onto him.
Not to mention the booing and abuse he copped seemed to make his game worse.
He deserves every bit if shit he gets and I’d be disappointed if that’s not the sort of reception he will get well into the foreseeable future.
But just remember, the AFL is committed to an equalisation policy.I believe it's well known that they put more experienced umpires on the prime time timeslots, which means we often cop the shit end of the stick. So I thought I'd have a quick look at this past weekend.

We had the privilege of sitting right next to the bench on Sunday and you are 100% right Parker was not only coaching on the field but off it. The other guy doing a lot of coaching from the bench was Darling. he was constantly yelling to Cooper about where to go especially when the ball was up the Port goals end. Haven't sat near the bench for a long time. You do get a different perspective on the team.We had the privilege of sitting right next to the bench on Sunday and you are 100% right Parker was not only coaching on the field but off it. The Sat Night commentators on Fox were laughing about the concept of 'Sunday Umpires' - it's an open secret now that not only do the shit/small teams get the shit timeslot, they also get the shit umpires as well.I mean it's not a conspiracy. They're always going to use more experienced/better umpires in the games that have more eyes on them.
