I hope that gold pass has been torn up.

Drew lined up a fair few times on the second/third/fourth coming of christ in Crouch and beat him regularly.

Hope he has a big JLT.

It’s so good to hear about drew.

I’ve been quite vocal about how highly I rate him.

Watching him in juniors I said he had the best defensive positioning around packs I can remember seeing from a junior. Something our afl side was very much lacking when we drafted him.

I cannot see opposition mids tearing him apart too often as he won’t let them.

Really like the new rules, opens the game up. High scoring less clogged up negative footy, should actually suit us. Take the negative crap out of the coaches box and let the natural flair of the players rule...

The kick out rule is very good too. Expecting a lienert run and roost to the hoff or ebert leading up on the wing to become quite the combo..

Fogarty is basically Lewis Johnston. Excellent as a lead-mark-kick forward but looks lost when he's asked to do anything else. Probably could've won a Coleman in the 80's, but not really what you want in an AFL forward in 2019.

Fogarty isn't fit to tie Marshall's boots m8. Marshall is built for the modern game, Fogarty is built for the 70's.

I agree, it's a bit rich for our supporter to build up Marshall and put down Fogarty. Yes they overhype him and maybe thats what draws the negativity as he's a 1 goal 10 possies a game player, but in reality he's done as much if not more than Marshall, and did again today, so we can't really talk yet.

I did hope for a bit more from Todd today, but hoping that he'll look better in a better side over the next few weeks.

Lol were you watching the same game? Marshall was on the better side of solid. Also setup a few goals too. Fogarty had no influence.

Marshall would've been lucky to have 6-7 touches. Fogarty played really well as a link man and had a lot more marks and touches.

Saw the good and bad Bonner today. The good Bonner is a damaging player. Is quick, can dance through traffic and is a penetrating kick. Still don't know if he can improve those parts of his game that continue to let him down. This is his fourth year on our list so time isn't on his side.

Marshall was pretty good but i'd like to see him leading towards the ball like a 'normal' forward. Ditto all our forwards. Marshall has huge potential. I just don't think we use it fully.

I sat with Boak for the game and he gave some interesting insights to the players.

It was funny to hear him moan when Amon stuffed up.

He says Drew has impressed everyone and joked that he's pushing "more experienced" players out.

We spoke a lot about the 3 new guns and he claims Duursma will be the best of the 3.

I hope so as I see Duursma as part of the deal we didn’t make for Carlton’s pick next season.

I reckon Marshall's fate is to be a player similar to Gunston in the role that he plays. He will never be the number 1 forward unless through injury.

Highlights the importance of Ryder and Lycett. Dixon will still be number 1 if he plays much footy this year.
