Are the days of 1 on 1 footy dead? It may be archaic this day and age but surely Dimma could see what was unfolding and had to throw a spanner into their game plan, it was just too easy for them.

At least the melting seems to have more or less blown over now.

Whether we like it or not Dimma isn’t going to make wholesale changes this week. He’ll make the forced changes but outside of that probably only 1 or 2 other players will be coming out.

I really hope Butler and Markov are those two changes outside the forced changes.

Butler and Markov for mine. Weller was better when he moved to the backline. I was initially thinking give Markov another game but he was pretty crap. So Balta, Garth, Ross and someone else

Perhaps coaches such as Dimma don't like to make big changes with new players because he wants them developed to a level that gives them the best chance of excelling at AFL level as opposed to seeing their confidence smashed because they may do a few flashy things that shows potential but do not have a well rounded enough game to be good solid contributors overall ???......

Some of the suggestions here, to me seem great knee jerk/panic responses. It's only round 2 and we are 1 and 1.....

With all the dust settled i find myself extremely pissed off with Dylan Grimes

Grimes should really take a good hard look at himself and question his leadership and discipline
How can you let your self have such a brain fart being a senior player and risk getting suspended with Rance & Riewoldt injured

Im sure he would be regretting what he had done and will come back better but the question needs to be asked of him about that incident

He knew he'll be overlooked for AA again so he thought he'd make it official.

Such a big thing is made about a top 4 finish but with the late bye I don’t reckon it’s impossible to win a GF outside of the top 4 (we could of done it in 2017). It really comes down to who is hitting their straps and has the healthiest list coming into the finals.
We’ll put our best side on the field later in the season (maybe not Rancey) and do some major damage in the meantime keep our head above water

Now that Conca is gone we may romantisize over what he could do but when the whips were truly cracking in that prelim final he showed his true abilities as a battler, fumbled his way thru the game and turned it over again and again. We don't need Conca.

lol, whether you like it it or not conca was always in our best 22 when fit, im taking him over 6 or 7 of our current 22 at the moment if your getting romantic and nostalgic.

This game, like the 2018 prelim was lost at selection and the coaches box. Baffling omission of Balta and inclusion of Ellis. 15 minutes in you could literally see how much room we allowed Coll players yet nothing changed all night. 360 uncontested possessions is insane and would never have been allowed in 2017. Once again Dimma failed to react when the pressure was turned up. He has real inabilities as a match day coach. Apart from the obvious changes Weller, Ellis, Castagna and Butler need a spell.

If you think every team in the league can ratchet up 450 posies at 81% eff , think again. Wc are prob only other side that plays like that , no one else. I saw nothing in our JLT v 2 of last hears top4 sides or r1 that makes me think our game style doesn’t work
