I don’t think we’ll make more than 3 changes. Having said that butler, castagna and Weller would want to have an impact with caddy coming back and Bolton looking good in the vfl

For starters mate, I think you may need another hobby outside of the AFL, don’t get so emotionally invested and move on.

Our list is fine, we have quality players on every line, and younger talented players that are ready or almost ready to go. When in the last 20 years have we had that?

Lloyd and Miles were good players but both were basically just hole fillers that have been replaced by more talented players. Lloyd by Higgins/Caddy and Miles by Prestia/Graham

And the comparison between Lynch and Riewoldt is off, although they’re both big forwards, they have completely different styles. Lynch is the type of player Vickery should have been, it won’t be long before he kicks a bag and when Jack comes back and they’re both fit will cause a lot of problem for the opposition.

And to your original point of us ‘fluking’ a flag in 2017... go back and watch the team throughout that year, we were building towards that and after losing to Geelong by 14 points we put it all together to dismantle Freo, Saints, Geelong, GWS and Adelaide on our way to the Premiership. We deserved it. And not to mentioned we carried that momentum into the next year to win 19 out of 24 games.

So next time you decide to have a hissy fit about losing to a team that simply out played us just take a deep breath think about something else in life and relax. We still won the flag in 2017 ;P

Jake Aarts – Small Forward
Richmond did not have to look too far for its first selection in the Rookie Draft, selecting small forward Aarts, from the Tigers’ VFL side. After putting in a great season as a pressure forward, Aarts earned a State Draft Combine invite, and in the end, was rewarded with a spot on the senior list. He does not have to move from Punt Road, but will be one who looks to continue his form to try and achieve an AFL call-up during the season as a readymade player.


Butler must go back to VFL, watched his running patterns closely on Thurs night and he just isn't or can't get get his intensity back up to 2017 levels. Has survived on too much straightforward play much of last season prior to injury, and looks bereft of confidence and energy. Let's give Aarts a go instead, he might just surprise and frankly we'd lose nothing doing it at atm.

People need to be patient.
You can't replicate that form year in year out.
Some of our opponents do not look so great this year, Adelaide, Ess, Melbourne, PA, Syd, so on, so we have opportunities.

Given jack has gone down, do you still think we don’t need lynch.

In the event you don’t think we need lynch. Who do you suggest would be FF next week.

Building a list is about creating options, jack goes down and no lynch is a scary prospect.
