My defence for suggesting that Himmelberg replace Jenkins is
1) I was in Melbourne and didn’t see Himmelberg play in the Twos and 9 marks sounded just what we need.
2) I was in Melbourne and believe it or not Jenkins looked even worse when watching the game live.

Other than the return of THE MIGHTY THOR my other five changes are unlikely to have a major impact other than reducing my pre-game frustration.
Jacobs for ROB, Stengle for Murphy, Himmelberg for Jenkins, Sholl for Kelly, etc.

Our problem isn’t the quality of our players, it is the poor form of most of our top twelve players.

The DON made a number of structural changes last week which were called for by Bigfooty but no one seemed to notice.
1) Chayce was playing on the wing prior to clumsily head butting the ground according to Brad Scott
2) CEY played as a defensive midfielder
3) Sloaney spent quite a bit of time as a deep forward

4) Laird spent less time deep in defence (unfortunately that meant Kelly and Hartigan spent more time deep)
5) We rotated more players through the centre square (Poholke, CEY, Milera)
6) Milera played on ball in the second half.

Unfortunately we are playing like a team with no confidence. Talia, Smith, Milera, Laird, Mrouch, Tex, JJ, Lynch, Gibbs and Eddie have all been well below their best. We want to see more from Hartigan, Kelly, Mackay, Atkins, ROB, Knight, Chayce, Murphy, CEY and Poholke but none of these players are likely to rip a game apart. The only players anywhere near their best are Brouch, Sloane and Keath.

I have no idea what we will serve up this week regardless of who we select. Fortunately I will be in Northern China, hopefully without access to the internet, for the next two weeks .

2. I didnt have a problem and called it before the game
3. Because CEY was on Cunnington it meant 1 player had to be out of the square and I think Sloane and Brad both spent time forward
6. Putting Milera in ''for experience'' was good but it meant we couldnt have CEY in there and that allowed Cunnington to get off the leash

Is that a fair assessment?

Isnt Otto struggling in the Magoos?

I'm not sure as I'm in Ho Chi Minh... but if we are looking to say drop JJ for Himmelberg or Fog, then Otten for Hartigan gives our side better balance. Those suggesting a returning Greenwood ruck are crazy... as best way to kill an underdone player.

Yes but his work of the ball was not good enough, at this time he not an improvement on JJ
When you watched did you notice how good the ball into the forward line was, If JJ had had to play that game he may have kicked 8 goals but most likely 4.4 they were spoon fed,
The 1st qtr Goals he got were via good delivery however he certainly led to the front - effort
Our movement into the fwd line in the 3rd was very good
Our fwds were up and about making things happen too

Don’t have it in the Seniors currently

We just have such a stagnated predicable fwd group except for Eddie

I’d like to see JJ kick some bags in the SANFL and demonstrate effort

This is flat out incorrect - especially the 3rd quarter.

We could easily replace Hartigan with Otten & he can be 2nd ruck.
Thought of that but I would Like Otten to spend 90% in defence controlling the ball, Also he is 192 and would be taking the Centre bounce against 208cm Witts and 203cm Wright. with today's 6-6-6 rule that could be too much of an advantage to GC in the Centre.
Same with Himmelberg while he is tall he has given away too many taps to advantage when in the ruck for the SANFL team. I don't believe we can run the risk not while our Mids are Struggling.
Until the Jacobs announcement, I was for Jacobs in for JJ, But today I feel there no option but to preserve with JJ Who I believe/hope (don't know) will kick 5 or they Give JJ more time in the ruck splitting the load with ROB to break it up.
I have attempted to look at every change re JJ and I don't see anything that will improve us. Even Left field with Keith and Hunter would not improve us (Keith rucking would take him away from being our only decent defender moving the ball forward.)

I am still in the belief we are not giving the Forward the best chance to score, and we need to fix up our defence and Midfield.
Plus I rather another small GOAL scorer in the forward line. and tell JJ to ensure if he does not mark the ball make sure our small forwards get the chance.
Our ball into our forward is giving the opposition more uncontested marks than our own forwards. that needs to change.

Our forwards are leading but they are being ignored or shit kicking the wrong side over the top or they are putting on the oppo chest. its chalk and cheese between our AFL delivery and SANFL delivery.
And when I watch the SANFL game live it stood out, but the week before against Glenelg our SANFL forward line struggled big time due to lack of decent ball.
Remember Eddie the first 3 games, all it takes is JJ to kick a few and he back, but we still need a decent chop out for ruck with the 6-6-6 rules.

So it looks like Saunders is pulling rank again, no doubt Sauce would previously have played.

I feel a whole lot better hearing it from him. Reminds me of Schofield talking instead of Hinkley, just a whole lot clearer and more authoritative

Watching the game live vs Geelong wasn’t fun and last week was woeful so I wasn’t looking forward to going on Sunday

Now I’m just looking forward to seeing ROB play his third in a row, watching any ins to see how they go and watching the should-be-outs to see whether they’ve got the heart and will to pull their feckin finger out and play with some grit and aggression

Seriously, absolute last chance for a couple of these blokes

Burton would have rubbed some Voltaren on his knee and said "You're good to go"

Team this week:
I know it won't happen but will do it for my own amusement.
Laird Talia Sholl
Smith Keath Gibbs
Atkins Sloane Jones(If fit, looks unlikely)
Davis Walker Knight
Betts Himmelberg Stengle

Jenkins BCrouch Milera

Greenwood MCrouch Gallucci Hamill

Out: ROB Murphy Lynch Kelly CEY Poholke Hartigan Mackay

The updates on Jacobs are infuriating to read. Just rule him out for a few weeks ffs, this bullshit each week with the suspense that he might play when he isn't even close is pointless.

1) Jacobs is cooked
2) If he isn't cooked he needs proper long term rehab to get right.

Jacobs shouldn't be the thumbnail for the update, he is 31, his body is cooked and he will probably retire at the end of the season, Chayce Jones and McHenry are the future, I care way more about their condition than Jacobs.

That all said, I know they are just doing it to pander to the slugs in our supporter base, the types who think we're going great guns and all our players are super stars and if Adolf Hitler was resurrected at half time of a home game wearing a Crows Guernsey they'd line up to give him a rim job.

One of your more tasteful contributions.

B. Laird Talia Scholl
Hb. Smith Keath Mackay
C. Gibbs Milera Atkins
Hf. Betts Walker Gallucci
F. Greenwood Fogarty Stengle
R. O'brien B.Crouch Sloane
Int. M.Crouch, Himmelberg, Lynch, Knight.

In. Scholl, Himmelberg, Fogarty, Gallucci, Stengle, Gibbs, Greenwood.
Out. Kelly, Jenkins, Hartigan, Murphy, Jones, Cey, Poholke.

Make knight play back pocket until luke brown returns. He doesnt hit the scoreboard enough and is a natural stopper with a big engine.
Play kids that are hungry and give you everything they have unlike that soft**** jenkins.

That would be pretty juicy, won't happen but the club needs a shake up. I would leave ROB and JJ in for now. If JJ doesn't pick up this week then Himmelberg

I wonder if there is some push back on ROB. 'hey ROB, Sauce could be back soon you better play well ''

Pairs well with the shitty wines you like.

Now that REALLY hurts. Which shitty wines are you referring to?

I will bring back a bottle of Shandong’s finest th share with you before the Freo match.

Ohh wait, my bad, you only go to Adelaide Oval when the Crows are playing interstate .
