Considering Rachele was considered by most a sure thing for the top 10 at the start of the year, that would be a fantastic result for us

Here is his goal from the academy game.

#4 Josh Rachele (Murray Bushrangers/VC)

The exciting Murray forward took some time to get into the game but he certainly looked like the Academy’s most dangerous forward, looking dangerous whenever he got the ball or was in the vicinity. He kicked a great goal from beyond 50m after taking a lead up mark which was one of only two goals scored for the Academy. Rachele was skilful in the air and at ground level and his efforts to tackle were also a highlight.

#8 Josh Rachele
Murray Bushrangers/Vic Country | Forward/Midfielder
11/04/2003 | 180cm | 78kg

Snapshot:
A lively forward who has drawn comparisons to GWS star Toby Greene, Rachele has unbelievable smarts, skills, and a keen eye for goal.

Rachele is rightly a standout among his draft class, having taken out the Under 16 Division 1 MVP award for Vic Country in 2019. He quickly went on to represent the Murray Bushrangers, averaging a tick under 18 disposals and two goals in four games as a 16-year-old. The exciting forward hails from an elite soccer background and has quick feet to show for it, as well as the smiling celebrations on the end of well-finished goals. Rachele is lauded for his skills and smarts in the forward half, but has shown an aptitude for midfield work with his turn of speed and ability to find the ball at ground level. He’s capable of highlight-reel moments.

We kinda need more defenders mate, I’m not against using our 2nd pick on the best defender at all. Small or Medium. He needs to be fast, skilful, make good decisions and be good one on one.
I get what you're saying and maybe if it was another tall id be on board but we probably have more 'defenders' than any other position at this point and there isn't a ready position for one to take a spot in the best 22 either.

Our current hb line (Hall Tarrant Ziebell), has a rather limited shelf life I'd suggest, so defenders need to be looked at for sure.

Spare a thought for those who didn't grow up with vegimite, do people actually have it with peanut butter? Is it something a person should try?
Each to their own, with cheese or just plain spread on bread
With peanut butter though .... (shudder)

I watched that game. He was one of the only kids that didn't look out of place. He is so classy with ball in hand and for a guy his size his overhead marking is off the charts.

Toby Greene is pretty much the perfect comparison, as he can get up in the midfield and accumulate the footy with ease. Bit more of a classy disposer by foot than Greene though.

Where do we sign him up?

You’d think after Gulden clubs won’t take him due to size.

Just had a first look at Horne's highlights. Freak. And crikey he's already a thumping size around the legs and hips.
