A few things stood out today:

4. The ground surface is terrible. Sand was being kicked up a lot at the northern end. The ground was in good condition prior to Xmas, so I’m not sure what’s happened. Hopefully they fix it. Otherwise I’d prefer them to train somewhere else. Also, they need to mow the surrounding area. I know we’re leaving soon, but have a bit of pride.

I raised this back in November and got smashed by all and sundry, the current precinct is a disgrace and does not portray elite standards.

Yes, its a small thing in the scheme of things but its also a pretty easy fix too.

Yep, it’s one thing to be coring or scarifying in spring but no excuses at this time of year unless they have had some sort of turf disease. Perhaps there is a HR money pit or social cause requiring support deemed more deserving of funds than a training surface.

What comparison is there between Nicks and Hinkley?

Hinkley came in and won 3 finals in his first two years as coach. Nicks only made finals in his 6th year.
Besides being bald headed media darlings fast talking dodgy used car salesman, coaches who blew it in finals despite finishing top 4.

But Hinkley didn’t coach as badly as Mafhew in finals and Mafhew has an inferior overall coaching record, so I sort of get you missing my pretty obvious point.

Who holds the head lease now, CROWS or SANFL ?

I would assume, given all the developmental work at Thebarton, the SANFL have already taken over ....and we're paying a temporary sub-lease

So who controls maintenance of the oval ?

Until Tex wraps up and gives him a bit of space I don't think we will see him fully flourish
I'm sure it'll then be Thilthorpe's fault when the output doesn't change.

Fog's a solid player with some strong attributes (goal kicking primarily) but I don't think we're going to see another level out of him.

He's gone back to back 40 goal seasons, if he can be second fiddle and push that to a 50-60 goal season, i reckon thats a great result for us.

No idea, not that it matters as you would be unable to find anyone who would accept any form of responsibility anyway.

Looks like a standard kick in Dan Curtin direction moment we see 5 times a match.
Doesn't mean he's not good at it.
Never said he wasn’t good at it, but as you said “standard”. He’s going to be a star but next we will have a shot of him entering the toilet and there will be a social media post about it.

I'd watch it

Is there a link to that entering the toilet vid?

Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions looks after the oval as there was a piece on Mitch Marsh mowing the oval not that long ago, unsure if they look after the surrounds of the precinct, I wouldn't have thought they would.
