This won’t happen but I’d go out Lewis in Ramsden, think he’s shown more at AFL level but unfortunately hasn’t played AFL for a while has been very good in the box hill games I’ve watched.

He’s looking increasingly stiff after he found some form in the seniors but was bumped as soon as Dear and Lewis were fit

I just wanted to add that I am supoer excited by what Ward has been producing recently and his game last night was full of class. He seems to now realise he is a genuine star.

So happy for Butler to keep improving and he was brillaint in his role last night. Also, very happy that Worpel is hitting his straps at the right time. Silencing a few critics whether he stays or goes, he is great soldier at the coal face.

Oh, and hats off to Meek. He is a real warrior and tries his guts our game after game. I'll stop now before I go through the whole team.

Also, an amazing stat. In games between Hawthorn and Adelaide this year there have been the exact same number of wins and losses so the two teams are closer than you might think.

Years ago, I saw Nicks and Sam Mitchell on 360.

The hosts asked Sam about the quirky signs being held up on the interchange. Then they turned to Nicks and asked if his team used them.

He did that annoying side-of-the-mouth, faux-alpha thing and said something link, 'We don’t bother with that silly stuff...'

Nash and Petracca aren't occupying the same spot in the team. Geelong learned this lesson when they tried to play Ablett, Dangerfield and Selwood all at the same time. A dream midfield on paper, but an unbalanced sieve on field.

If Petracca comes across I get the feeling he will be more forward with bursts through the midfield.

Had a quick look on the Cats page and interestingly enough the Hawks player they seem most concerned about isn't Newk or Gunners it's Meek.

I can see their concern, his Lordship does have a good record of beating up on the more "B" grade rucks like Stanley. He's also got a huge size advantage on Stanley.

If Meek can play a blinder we are 80% on the way to beating the pussycats as we don't often (ever?) lose when he goes full Meek Mode.

I hope Sammy pulls Ginni aside this week and tells him he does not have to get in the face of the opposition EVERYTIME they stuff up and we kick a goal or we get a free kick for goal.

I have nightmares about one of our blokes about to kick the winning goal and it’s reversed because he can’t cool his jets.

PLEASE Ginni don’t even give the umpires the slightest reason to reverse a free kick because the umpires will at the speed of light give Geelong a free kick reversal.
