Not too bad for a development year. Cox was a Passanger tonight and is too lazy when needing to get rid of the ball. I Think we can say this was a positive year with the development of a few younger players. Bring on 2009. Bring on Cousins and another quality midfielder and watch us make a charge for September.

Would love McKernan or Sidebottom with Pick 11:thumbsu:

McKernan? Yeh, coz we need KP forwards above all else.

Sidebottom
Blease

Would like either of them tbh.

McKernan can Play down Back.

Blease or Sidebottom would be Good.

Would Love Ziebell but Doubt he would last that Long?

Top effort staying out for Harvs tonight, Pies. Tradition is important to traditional clubs - well done. Reckon we'll both be thereabouts next year. :thumbsu:

Re: CollingW2008 = Pick 11 in the draft

It was nice what they did for Harvs, he also gave Wakelin some acknowledgment too.

Re: CollingW2008 = Pick 11 in the draft

We need to focus on mids in this draft.

Sidebottom, Robinson or Blease would be ideal.

Doubt Sidebottom will last to our pick and should pick up Robinson if Sidebottom is gone as he is exactly what we need. Blease for mine doesnt get enough of it and is mainly an outside player, but if the other two are gone then he should be picked.

Re: CollingW2008 = Pick 11 in the draft

We ought to start with;

11 - Trengove/Sidebottom
29 - Hannebery

That would be a top start. Finish with Cousins and Reed.

Re: CollingW2008 = Pick 11 in the draft

I want Hannebery somewhere in the draft, I know that much.

Ten bucks says Hine picks a mid at 11 no-one on here was aiming for.

aye just a question is it true the pies are looking at suban just a mate said they were and im his cousin would want him at the saints.just seeing if wat my mate sed is true??

Possible but unlikely. Doesn't fit the Hine mould as neatly as some others. Mind you, I'm sure Hine looks at everybody, it's his job.

blease (if its the guy im thinking of) has blinding pace but is very outside midfielder even more of a wingman, which reminds me of dale thomas and barham not what we're or should be after, we need midfielders that will get clearences

I played against Sam Blease in under 16's. He is a freak, doesnt get alot of it but when he gets it he does something with it. I would be very happy if Collingwood get Blease. He has great skills and is very quick.

It's hard to say what we will do this year. A couple of hard-running, quick and skillful mids would be nice. I wouldn't mind another key defender and another ruckmen to develop.

I say chase a flag like Boston Celtics did in the NBA when they picked up Garnett and Ray Allen. Do everything to get Kerr and Cousin's there is no point developing and developing AFL is bout winning flags.

Kerr and Cousin to Collingwood
GO PIES!!!

I'd rather not make the finals than have those two disgraces at the club...

Knowing Hine I would not be Supirsed if we get Tengrove with Pick 11

Didn't Trengrove do his knee?
No mate, he did his lateral ligament, which is a relatively minor injury and is usually treated without surgery. The bigger injury he had was to avulse the hamstring origin, pretty nasty injury which kept him out for most of the year. He didn't so much "tear the hamstring off the bone" as he "tore a bit of the bone away with the hamstring". Funnily enough, that's actually a better result because they'll have screwed the bit of bone back on, with the hamstring attached, and it should heal beautifully like any other fracture in a young man.

Shouldn't have any long-term concerns whatsoever. :thumbsu:
