I think the irony will be that we will have pick 22 back post investigation, Crows will be sanctioned in this draft...
If Tippett is available take him, as we always pick out gems later on.....
Again the potential is we will come out big winners in this trade/draft period, I have massive confidence in Beatson and the recruiting team.....
I'm starting to smell back to back.......

Ricky Petterd delisted by Melbourne this morning. From what I've seen, is a good player but lacks consistency. Came on as the sub for them against us in rd 1 2011 and had about 3 touches in the first minute. All for getting him. High-half-forward/wingman.

meredith and gordon gone. disappointed about meredith. think he's quite a skilful player who never got much of a go. whereas gordon just isn't up to afl standard. perhaps we could pick up bate from delisted free agency. he always seems to give 100% in games I've seen.

I think Meredith would be a worthy rookie spot to see if he can work his way back

Spencer White?

Will most likely be available with our first pick but not our second.

Super impressive in 2010, Gold Coast were chasing him hard, hasn't done anything since then, a club will pick him up and I'd be happy if it was us.

Has he had his shoulders sorted?

I sense another first round failure coming up. Geelong and Collingwood have picks 16, 18, 19 and 21 so the chance of a superb talent sliding is close to zero.

Hey guys, sorry for intrusion. I'm taking over the Premiers in the BF Phantom Draft. Anyone keen to give me an idea about what you guys are looking for and how many picks you are likely to take? I think there is 5 rounds and from memory you have 6 picks in those 5 rounds. I only have to let them know if you guys are going to take more than 6.

Needs: inside midfielder, key defender, key forward, project ruckman

If you're trying to be accurate with the Swans, take an absolute spud with your first round pick and then pick up 2 150+ game players with the later selections.

I believe you're right about us needing 6 players but grimlock is definitely the expert on these matters

Thanks heaps. Will do my best to sort those out.

Have you seen much of Josh Simpson over in Perth?

Any chance he gets to our first pick?

I wouldn't mind us using a late pick on Shane Nelson, I was stunned he didn't get picked up by Freo or WC in any of the drafts last year.

Best available.

We've got rid of a few players so it looks like we'll be relying on the draft.

I initially said we were no chance to get Josh Simpson as I expected our first round pick to go to Adelaide. He may be around at 22, whether he's the right fit at that pick I don't know - I think we have more pressing needs. But I would like us to have another fast outside player and he is one of the best available this year.

I know a lot about Shane Nelson, his management talk him up a lot. He's a hard-working small who is worth at least looking at with a lower draft selection, since we've lost the likes of Gordon and McNeil.
