Dose any one know if this is allowed? Say we are committed to taking Aish, and we new GWS would not take him, can we set him up on a program from now? To bulk him up a bit before he gets to us?

Add Rodan to the list... thats the 3 mandatory list changes covered now.

Good point Wise Guy Sam ... I wouldn't take O'Rourke for Aish, I'd probably take O'Rourke and Adams for Aish considering our midfield stocks - but we'll see how Aish finishes out the season with Norwood, he's certainly got almost unprecedented senior performances for a young mid.

Fellow Demons supporters, read this...

"John Ralph has just reported that this will be buddys last game for hawthorn as he has been offered 2 million a year from Melbourne and likely to take it."

How do you feel about this? I don't think I can personally believe that it's true... If true, do we need Buddy?

There's a thread devoted to this but being list management I suppose this can stay here.

What? Has he reported it on Channel 7??

I don't think that's going to happen (and we all know I'm a glass full to the brim kind of guy) - anyway not going to be his last game unless the Hawks go out in straight sets or the MRP stitch him up (which we know they won't, being a superstar and finals being around the corner).

I call Hawks messing with GWS.

Well I saw it on a Facebook page, then I went on his Twitter saying: Yeah that's what the Hawks believe they will offer him. 1.5 plus marketing from the afl.

IF we get him, our forward line will be: Clark, Dawes, Buddy, Howe, Fitzy and Hogan (all injury free), tall forward line, I still believe we need a smaller forward, but I wouldn't say no to Buddy.

Lmfao.

Realistically our premiership window for this group is in 2 years to 5 years

I know that sounds stupid but if you look at our key players they will be in there absoloute prime in 3 years , we need to build a midfield now because we can rocket up the ladder quickly with one

Frawley garland jones grimes trengove watts terlich Clark Dawes gawn will be between 24-29 and if we take five years we will have already seen the best of them

Sorry to intrude guys

Just in regards to Cross and Sewell, it would be a huge risk to recruit both IMO. Both would be retiring about the same time and would leave the Demons in arguarbly the same position as you have been in the past 24 months, again in 36 months time.

One would be a good pick up, just need to decide which one would fit better in with what you already have and go from there. Sewell seems a bit more dynamic but Cross is ALOT more consistent.

Heading in the right direction guys, keep the confidence and it will come together soon enough :thumbsu:

Just out of curiosity also, how would you rank your big guys at the moment?

Keep bringing up Max Gawn and Jake Spencer up as potential #3 ruckmen up on the Essendon board. Having witnessed Maxy DOMINATING Essendon in the VFL twice this year he is simply far too good for VFL and the last 3rd of this year in the AFL he has been surprisingly good.

What could be a potential trade off for Gawn or Spencer?

Nah, I think we'd be more likely to trade Jamar then Gawn or Spencer.

Gawn has so much upside as a ruck, he's had his fair share of knee injuries and is still managing to improve significantly as a player despite a lot of rehab over the past 3-4 years; can play forward too.

Spence is just a physical beast now, he's never going to be highly skilled - but he's a pretty good tap ruckman as it stands, if he gets his contested marking down he'll be a pretty good option.

With jamar coming to an end gawn and spencer are fighting it out for the number one ruck , gawn is 21 as over 200cm yet has decent skills and can take a grab needs alot of work on his actual rucking though , he is off the table ..

Spencer also has good second efforts and is a better tap ruckmen , more old school type has horrible skills , is very close to being our number 2 and will share ruck with gawn

As with everything you would have to put midfielders down on the table for us to look at it

I'd say no - unless he wants to play as bloody midfielder!

Don't need him.

Gawn won't be going anywhere. He just re-signed with us for a further two years. He will most likely be #1 ruck as of next year with Jamar playing second fiddle as he is close to the end. As already stated, he is 21& a man mountain. Most rucks don't start to hit their best until 24+ so I'm sure the new coach would have big Max central to his plans.

Spencer could be traded if we were offered a reasonable mid I think, as that is the glaring deficiency!

O'Rourke has a hot sister too, so that's an added bonus.

I remember when we first drafted Watts they had a picture of him and his two sisters on the main AFL website. That disappeared pretty quickly... they were cracking.
