1985 VFA won by 97-88, 1986 the Div 2 VFA side won 97-68.

In any case its a moot argument - bottom line is both comps were very very good leagues and really good fun to play in. Think with the $$ generated in the old VFA that the depth of player, outside of the best 22, may have been a bit better.

Well so
Much for that bungles,

Perry bolt with a bag of 11.5. 6 in the first quarter.

85 point win,

Probably should eat your words mates

Well looks like Thick will make state team after he demolishes PBolt on Saturday, I don't think I've seen him get a touch against Thick or for that matter the Pies since I've been watching. It would be nice to make it 3 loses in a row for PBC.. Who better to do it.

Fair Enough, I will eat my words, probably went a bit too early BUT was only stating what I might have seen in the past. Perry Bolt certainly looks fitter all credit to him. We were out played but it's a learning curve for a young team.

Well guys I was only stating on what I have seen in past years.
Full credit to PerryBolt on his fitness and game. I probably went a bit early and will take it on the chin. We are young and I'm sure learnt a lot today from a very good football side.

Watched my Broady get out of jail today against Surfers..... they were just not on song at all, credit to Surfers as they were more hungry for the pill etc etc for 3 quarters being some 6 goals plus up at three quarter time. Then Broady, pulled their finger out and kicked some 8 goals to one in the final quarter.
Was impressed by a new player for Broady, he played his first game in the ressies last week and kicked 6 goals, and today kicked 4 goals from full forward. moves well, a good mark and good kick for goal, should be a bonus for the Cats if his form continues.

Sorry, this players surname is Siekai... number 32.
Ellis, Royes ,and Searl good for the Cats.
Mcintyre, Van de Werden and Merret good for the Demons.
Must say, with all the games of footy played here on the day, ( including the NEAFL game), has resulted in a good crowd and the gate takings, kiosk and bar would of been a good revenue raiser for Broady.

I watched the game and it certainly wasn't anything Perry Bolt did that had him kicking 6 goals in the first quarter. My mum could have sat in the goal square and kicked 6 because the idiotic full ground press the Magpies where trying to implement certainly didn't work and he was 30 metres in clear everytime!

last I checked you don't just find 6 goals. Whether you like magpies playing style or hate it, give credit where credit is due, 11 goals isa fantastic effort 6 in the first quarter And if he found himself clear 30 out 11 or my times maybe it's his work rate that contributed? But hey, maybe you should speak to humphries about getting your old girl a gig! Looks like they could use a hard working forward that doesn't get cheap kicks 15 times a game!

So what about the one on ones he had with thick and out marked him three times in the first qrt oh yeah that's right then thick got dragged off him after kicking three on him early maybe your mum might get a game for the magpies or the way your talking you must be a superstar maybe you should get out there and try and play on perry-bolt you would of been the 5th person to play on him after he gave the first 4 a bath! Give credit were credit is due if he kicked straight he would have kicked 15!

I'm actually a good mate of he's! I told him about this page and he actually said he is used to people bagging him about footy
He can play always could, espeacially when he just concentrates on playing good on him and he looks in good nick

Honestly, who cares how many goals Perry Bolt kicks in a game or the season?

Winning the QAFL Goal Kicking award is a top Personal achievement no matter who he is and good luck to Bolt for the rest of the season, but it's not a Premiership Medallion.

I don't think Morningside or Labrador players give a stuff about who's leading the Goal Kickers ladder, instead both teams have an eye on the Major Prize, The 2014 QAFL PREMIERSHIP!!!

Pretty sure every club wants the premiership not just morningside and Labrador,

The above comments were just a bit of banter in regards to comments about perry bolt pre magpies games

Could anyone please tell me what type of player Peter Hay is?? and any of his playing history previous clubs etc . Cheers

This is the QAFL not the Allied Pickford Cup.

No, I mean the QAFL is more a Higher level of football, compared to the Allied Pickford Cup,( A higher Standard) Singling out and bagging players from other clubs in the QAFL doesn't cut it anymore like it did in the Minor Leagues.

Find the pbolt discussion interesting.

Kicks a bag in the gf and kept Pbc in the game early and they go on to win the flag and he had people saying "good game but lacks consistency".

Now has started the year in form and a bloke wants to pot him about a possible individual award he's in the running to win saying it's all about premiership medals.

Tough gig for a bloke just trying to get a kick!!

Good to see the Tigers have good win on the weekend. Seven changes from the PBC game. Kicking for goal still a bit off but pleasing to see a few U/18's in the side doing very well. Dyson Buderick & Matt Daniels have been very impressive. Surprised Dyson wasn't looked at for the state squad.

Any news as of yet on the selection of state squad?
Haven't heard to much about who's in & who's not? And who's coaching?
