I haven't had the time much this year tbh, placement, sorting out my future after uni and ultimately a lot of other things going on (writing, uni itself as examples) has limited my time here somewhat, even sacrificed a couple of games for placement.

Having said that after winning this was one of the first things I thought of haha. Great win today, big game next week

WOW! massive shock! Well Done Mernda!! almost had another with Lalor only just getting over the line at Panton Hill.

I wonder when was the last time bottom defeated top in NFL/DVFL across all divisions? wouldn't have happen very often I'm assuming.

As mentioned above a couple of massive eight-pointer games coming up this round.

Diamond Creek vs Hurstbridge. All the talk has been about the Bridges this week and they should get across the line against a very competitive Demons.
Panton Hill vs Lalor. The Redbacks ave hit a hurdle in recent weeks and won't find the Bloods any obliging as they try to get a needed win.
Thomastown vs Mernda. This could get ugly as the Bears tear apart the struggling Demons.
Whittlesea vs Fitzroy Stars. Hard to work out the Stars form and at home the eagles eem to soar so giving them the slight advantage here.

What a round of football. Two massive games. I no we are a long way from finals but this week could determine who makes it.

Hurstbridge v Diamond creek- Bridge are spending a lot to make sure they dont drop this game. I hear that the coach has opened his own wallet to get a couple of players. Some home grown telent getting pissed of that they are being replaced by ring ins. Saying that i think Bridge have paid to much to lose this one and will get home by 10pts.

Whittlesea v Stars- A draw earlier in the season between these 2 and i think another close 1 here. Stars must win if they want to stay in contention for top 4, starting to play some good footy. Stars to get home by under a kick.

Lalor by 10 goals over Panton hill

Thomastown by 10 goals over Mernda

Hurstbridge are all the talk as has been mentioned, I think adding players might effect their mix, so they might not gel as well. Diamo will be desperate to stay in touch of a finals berth. Diamo by 10pts

Lalor vs Panton Hill
Lalor should win comfortably. Finnin back helps the Redbacks. Lalor by 30pts.

Thomastown vs Mernda
Thomo by plenty.. Will Mernda win a game this year?. Thomo by 70pts

Whittlesea vs Fitzroy Stars
Stars will be desperate for a win, having lost 3 games by 7pts or less and drawing 1, the ladder could've looked a lot different. Whittlesea will be keen to maintain a game (possibly 2) break over the Stars for the 4th position so far. Must win game for Stars. Stars by 18pts

My only advice is when your done celebrating the win drink lots of water so the hangover isn't as bad.

Massive round ahead with the top four all playing each other and a possible relegation battle. Should be tight games all weekend.

Whittlesea vs Lalor
Should be a ripper of a game with both teams searching to hold down a top 2 spot. Lalor had a close call last week and Whittlesea's coming off a great win over the Stars. Could be a see-sawing battle all day. Lalor in a tight one 3pts

Hurstbridge vs Thomastown
Thomastown will be hurting after losing to the struggling Mernda. Hurstbridge are really starting to fire at the right time of the year. Both sides will be ferocious at the contest and it will come down to who wants it more. Hurstbridge in another close game 13pts.

Diamond Creek vs Fitzroy Stars
Diamo will be looking to bounce back from a poor showing, as will the Stars. It's a must win for both sides if they have ambitions of playing finals. Stars at home by 20pts.

Mernda vs Panton Hill
This could be an early relegation battle, with Mernda full of confidence after beating the ladder leader. Panton Hill were unlucky to lose last week against a quality side in Lalor. Should be a well fought game and could go either way. Panton Hill by 11pts.

Four big games this week with a couple of eight-pointers:

Hurstbridge vs Thomastown. Massive game with the Bears looking to bounce back but the Bridges are settled and looking he goods.
Lalor vs Whittlesea. The Bloods just got home last week while the Eagles have looked very strong in recent weeks.
Mernda vs Panton Hill.Important win by the Demons last week while the Redbacks just couldn't get across the line and may see a repeat this week.
Fitzroy Stars vs Diamond Creek. One win in the past four for each of these doesn't give confidence but at home the Stars should shine over the Demons.

As for finals,

Will love to see Thomo and Stars in the finals with Epping, both love the run and Thomo very fit team.
Haven't seen other sides on the bigger grounds so can't comment but feel free to add on to my comment.
