Partington is more outside wouldn't say run and carry more spread with better skills. Lovell is an inside clearence mid who is also an accumulator mid but is thought to be a small pressure forward at afl level (sam gray anyone?). Lovell would be a good pick up as he can play more than one position and can give guys like ah chee gray wingard a spot up forward if they need a chop out

Two sub 6 foot accumulators. One is enough. I'm not as sold on Partington as some but if he's there I expect us to take him.

So if we get Partington draft a 188cm dasher like White (will probably be gone by the second pick), Parsons, Mutimer, Glen or even Doedee.

Wylie Buzza with the third pick (I'd use it) or Allen if he's there.

Tool tool tool tool tool spanner

Partington can read the hitouts nicely, but the rest is just ok. I have said it a million times, and ill say it again... I'd take lovell with 32 in a heartbeat but if partington is there, i am sure we will take him.

Have we ever taken a Tassie kid before?

Smart money is on a South Freo kid! Whoever our WA based recruiter is that is responsible for scouting the Bulldogs holds some sway with Newton, Ah Chee, Shaw and Frampton all taken in recent years. Doubt we'll get the chance to test the hypothesis with Callum Ah Chee, but if Kade Stewart goes to us (more likely a rookie chance though) then I'll know I'm on to something.

I could definitely see us taking Kieran Lovell, he's a Tassie kid. One could argue that we have too many of his type already, but to me all that says is that we have a type.

O"kearney is a poor mans Travis Boak, team player lacking endurance although his work rate is good

Sam C is an outside mid with a big motor but lacking pace

We've only drafted 2 SA kids in the national draft under Parker. Still expecting us to pick a player noone has spoken about

If we draft Dan Houston and he doesn't arrive at training in a Ferrari with two Dobermans sitting on the back seat I'm gonna be mighty disappointed.

At the rate that Rhys Mathieson is free falling we'll be able to get him in the rookie draft

Regarding the Oliver hype... I'm not sure he's top 5 like what's being said but I was mighty impressed by his highlights. Reminded me of a young Voss. Would have taken him at 13 if we still had it.

Still annoyed we traded away the chance to get Will Gayfer what even has Les done anyway

Didn't Gayfer play in the SANFL?

For a little bit.

Was talked about across the league (not just the media) as a first round pick, absolutely bombed at the draft camp and went undrafted.

According to AFL draft tracker site, click on View Full Nomination List button (after pick 22), the following Magpies 15 players from 2015 have nominated for the draft

Sam Gordon, Tom Gray, Luke Reynolds, Jonathon Ross, Ben Sawford (Glenelg) and Robbie Young have nominated, That means no Summo or Masters are a rookie chance. Is Robbie Young a chance??
