West coast still lack pace and jetta would be the perfect fit for them. Having said that on current form I hope he stays.

Perhaps Hanneberys deal and the trading of one or two players would see us fall under the COLA salary cap and would allow us full value trades straight up and removal of COLA straight away? Just a thought. Maybe the club is working towards that?

So Bird is already out the door?

We can't keep everyone and if he is playing NEAFL, apart from depth reasons you shouldn't keep someone as good as Bird. The aim for all teams is 'sell high'. Bird could easily fetch a 2nd rounder.

Nope, article in Fairfax papers today saying that even if we'd trade out tippo and Bud the restrictions would still apply for this year. the " drop the cola or cop a ban" deal was only available before last year's off season..

I think Shaw needs to go maybe to GWS with his cuz

Do we need both Dunkley and Mills?

Also whats happening with AJ? Has he had his op yet?

Oh yes indeedee, we do need both Mills and Dunkley. Never pass up the opportunity to recruit top liners on the slightly cheap!

G'day guys. Long time lurker. My thoughts on this years trades are if Swans get Mills and Dunkley we really need to somehow get in some KPD and a solid ruck.

I know some say there's guys in NEAFL but really if they're not knocking on the door now what chances are they round 1 next year. As solid as he is I can't see Teddy keeping it together for next year.

I am worried about our KPD and Ruck depth as well. Both Pyke and Richards are approaching the end of their careers and the worrying thing is we don't really have anyone to replace either of them.

I agree 100%. It's great having gun mids like Parker, Kennedy, Mitchell, Heeney etc with two more possibly coming in. But no good having great mids and forwards if you have no one defending the scoreboard.

What about trading for Jarrad Redden from Port? Or getting him as a DFA. I think his contract expires at the end of this year.

Reid to replace Richards. Our defence is fine.

In an ideal world, Naismith and Nanka are the Pyke and Mumford combination for 2016. If those guys can step up, most of our problems go away.
