What I do know is this is just the tip of the iceberg and in future years this whole trade thing will get out of hand and it will tear at the fabric of our game.

This year is not anything particularly special in terms of player movements. People have zero perspective on these things

Only thing I can think of is that we hate GWS more than Hawks & really want one of their guns in their academy who really wants to be a Swan!
Most of these kids in their academies would have grown up as Swan supporters so it is feasible that we are targeting such a scenario where we bid on one of their academy guns!

The only thing in this for us to get involved would be JOM to Swans!

I don't know, if we get dragged into a 3 way deal and can some how end up with GC's 2nd rounder next year and a 7 (17>10) pick upgrade this year then Tippett can rack off IMO - It'd value him in points at anywhere between 11 and 23 depending on GC's ladder position next year, lord knows how the other half of the trade works but that's Hawthorns issue. There are actually a few handy mature age rucks prospects out there this year, it might just be moneyball time
