Went down to watch lower v Morang tonight both teams looked very scratchy however #32 from Morang looked like a promising forward, any thoughts on Morangs chances this upcoming season?

Reckon they are a certainty to finish top2, maybe along with Banyule. Pretty even from there down Epping mernda Watsonia and st Marys to fight out for the last 2 spots. Kilmore may surprise a few though by the sounds of there praccy match results.

. Apart from a couple of ones guys who didn't play against Seymour, Lowers played mainly 2's and 19's, but wasn't a bad hit out and Sth Morang look to have some handy types there. Should go well.

Righto boys time for some predictions for season 2016.

1. South Morang
2. Banyule
3. Watsonia
4. Epping
5. Mernda
6. Kilmore
7. St Mary's
8. Heidelberg West

League BNF: Allen (WATS)
League Goalkicking: Tarrant (BAN)

As for Round 1
WATSONIA to defeat South Morang by 14 points

- I feel the Wats will catch the Lions off guard at home. Very good pre season from what I've been hearing down at Wats.

BANYULE to defeat Heidelberg West by 80 points

- ugly way to start the year for the west boys, will hold their own for the first half before being overran.

KILMORE to defeat St Mary's by 6 points

- got the newbies coming in and winning, very tough to tip St Marys on last years form but they can be a wild card. Tough game to tip.

MERNDA to defeat EPPING by 23 points

- Mernda to take the points on their new home ground in a high scoring affair.

Unsure if any of you fella's have junior club involvements, but we're chasing an Under 16.5s practice game on Sunday April 10th at Kilmore.

Our junior club is having practice game's against the Romsey JFC that day, but unfortunately the Redbacks wont be fielding a top age team in 2016.

If anyone is available, or have had a club asking who you can't accommodate, please contact myself Chris Nolan on 0419363845.

Went down to watch Epping v Mernda today, what a ground looks beautiful however the football was poor! Epping just didn't have the run in there legs after a loss to Morang and Epping today could it be banyules for the taking or can anyone see Morang and Epping as a contender

Watsy making a statement against South Morang.. South Morang will be very disappointed Maghamez was disappointing big recruit, big money.

What happened to the straight setters yesterday?? According to their president "no one will get near us this year". Huge game this week against the Demons.

Stude289. Reckon your ladder for this year is on the money.

Banyule is going to be the one to beat, they showed their strength and determination last season.

May see Heidelberg west get a win against Kilmore.

I ventured up to Kilmore on Saturday and caught the last 3 quarters.

It was a very scrappy game as the ground up at Kilmore is very windy, nevertheless Kilmore looked like they will hold their own in this comp, They won't be world beaters by any stretch but they will win their 4-6 games. St Mary's also looked better than previous years even with a few big names out.

Round 2 Tips

EPPING to beat Kilmore by 52 points

MERNDA to beat South Morang by 1 point

WATSONIA to beat BANYULE by 6 points

ST MARYS to bear Heidelberg West by 50 points

St.Mary's started well, kicked 4.1 in a blink of an eye and she was pretty much even there after. Kilmore won their share of it thru the middle, and unlike the past year or two, got the ball forward a bit more but still require a set of mits, or that 45-50 goal person who could actually make a real difference. They'll be alright, numbers at training as good as they've had for the best part of 5-6 years so as far as enthusiasm goes the move is being supported inside the fence :thumbsu:

One thing that caught my eye, and surely must be a NFL come the business end. 2 guys got yellow carded in the 3rd and got replaced immediately? I was trotting water for the home side and said to the runner, reckon we're 2-up now but soon found out that aint the case.

Surely come finals, you'd sacrifice someone to clean up one of the more handy opposition players?

how did Tarrant go for Banyule on the weekend ? against Watsonia

He is listed as kicking one goal.

Important round of games approaching,
Who firms for wooden spoon favourites with the game between kilmore and west?
Can stmarys go 3-0 and have morang at 0-3. Which team will stay the right side of the ledger in the match between epping and Banyule? And finally who will remain unbeaten out of Watsonia and mernda in the match of the round? Fair bit on the line and it's only round 3

Huge round of footy!

I say Kilmore to get their first win but only just. Both clubs could be in for stinkers but at least they will get matches against each other

Would love to see st Mary's and Watsonia undefeated at the end of round 3.

Round 3 Tips:
EPPING to beat Banyule by 35 points.
- The Blues will be too strong around the ball for the Bears

KILMORE to beat Heidelberg West by 64 points.
- I don't see Heidelberg West winning a game this year, Young could be out for a few weeks as well.

Mernda to be beaten by WATSONIA by 4 points.
- Match of the round, I expect Watsonia to just edge over the line. The fitter side will win this

St Mary's to be beaten by SOUTH MORANG by 47 points.
- Burra are 2-0 but haven't played anyone yet, Think they'll get found out this weekend. South need the win.

Banyule to good for Epping by 24 points

Kilmore to beat Heidelberg West by 6 points

Mernda just over Watsonia by 6 points

Sth Morang to strong for St Marys by 30 points
Good luck to all

Epping over the Bears by 13

Kilmore over HW by 35 - done the ring around and brought 4 blokes straight in couldn't possibly lose, it's their GF

Watsy over mernda by 8 -Watsy's greatest asset is there coach

South Morang over St Mary's by 19 - Morang have to win its that simple
