Rucci is an idiot of the highest order. I am amazed that someone hasn't just boned him off the pay list. It's a low standard to meet at the Advertiser, but he isn't even close to being worthwhile for any reader. He is an embarrassment to his profession and South Australia.
Richmond have been at Stage 10 for about 3 years
Port are hovering between Stage 6 and 7.
Thankfully we went from Stage 6 to 10 quickly due to Ricciuto.
Actually we went from stage 2 to 10 with Sando! Cant recall anyone having that big a problem at the time.

Because legitimally, 10 years ago - that was the only thing they had on us.
Now we have 25 years of growing history, they have to manufacture stuff others have created to try and stay relevant.
Rucci needs to apologize to that caller, he was totally out of order. He can't claim Port supporters love that history when its simply not true. Its a selling point for the Magpie supporters. Supporters of other SANFL clubs which make up 2/3rds of the supporter group now couldn't care less.
No, they never had history on us because they aren't the magpies. Simple as that.

Going back to Ross Lyon for a moment. I can't but help being delighted that the team he took as minor premiers (and choked) was beaten by Carlton....at home. To add to that it looks like Ballantyne, Johnson and Fyfe have differing injuries. We definitely don't want to take them for granted ourselves, but has there ever been a bigger fall from grace in a single season? Oh Ross....won't be this year buddy.

Um Brisbane, Carlton and Melbourne are not easy games my any stretch of the imagination. Richmond with the injuries and penalties they are likely to receive are another level below those three.

I was Port magpies through and through growing up and I am pissed to the max at Port Power for stealing their history. Walked into Alberton in 1997 and you would never have ever known the Magpies ever existed. Now because it suits a marketing gimmick they claim it. They are a pathetic hole of a club who deserves no respect whatsoever.

I had to laugh at Rucci continually trying to draw comparisons between Hinkley and Clarkson.
Clarkson built Hawthorn from the ground up and made the finals in his 3rd year and won flag in his 4th.
