As I have stated previously (thx RB96 :/) picks in the 25-35 range this year are imo the best value spots in terms of potential reward v currency ratio.

With us likely to need more picks in earlier rounds than we currently hold any picks in this bracket should not be traded out. I would be looking to attempt to get more in this area of the draft.

Also worth noting that 2017 pool while looking a little weaker than 2016 in terms of mids appears to have a very strong collection of talls and as such is thought to be likely stronger overall than 2016. For this reason along with a potential depreciation in ladder position I strongly urge us to keep all our future picks this trade period.

Lyons stones Crows' offer
Adelaide midfielder Jarryd Lyons hasn't asked for a trade but The Advertiser reports he is unlikely to sign what his management deems an underwhelming contract offer from the Crows.

Lyons, 24, was a consistent performer for the Crows this season, playing a career-high 20 games, including both finals, for a total of 55 in five years.

His management believes he is worth considerably more on the open market than what the Crows are offering, despite the club regarding him as a required player.

It is believed that Gold Coast could become a potential suitor for the Victorian, who was a fourth-round pick (No.61) in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft.

We have tried this in previous years and it doesn't go well. People just continue to post in this version of the thread and the other one disappears off the front page of the board within hours.
