'Shoulder' with absolutely no mention or details in any report can't be good news

If it was a minor one-weeker they'd have told us.

Worse would be if it's cover for his knee tendinitis flaring up again. Dayne Beams came back for one game last season then didn't play again for the year.

Hope it's nothing serious. This is the time he should be getting a taste of AFL action.
Is it just the AFC which is this secretive about injuries? It's getting a bit weird.

if it was me.. id have take Riley Bonner with our pick 17 in 2015.
Bonner has been arse for Port this year

I probably would have gone with Gresham or Burton in hindsight, but I still think Doedee will be a very good player who fills a need for us

All I remember is that broken arm.
What a shitty shitty day that was.
Well yeah that was the Sydney home final. Only missed a couple after that I guess. Testament to his preparation. Heard he's the utmost professional.

Cheney has proven he would be a valuable contributor to the team, Kelly was lucky he was injured and going on what Kelly did for his first 4 games, you would think Cheney would fit iwell n front of him, his AFL form was very good and proven. No one else in the squad has shown that amount of ability at AFL level so Cheney would be the first in for a roatation through the backline with Brown, Smith and laird even able to cover Lever as he plays tall aswell. Easily our best back 8 would be Talia, Hartigan, Lever/Otten, Laird, Smith, Brown, Cheney you never know with Wigg though he does deserve a crack he is getting runs on the board

You know, that attitude is how you get stuck with mediocre players.

Really SANFL wise, there was enough to say Doedee could have come in and have done a good job this season, as he was a shining light down back last; helps it's also a position you can blood a youngster in. Shame injuries have curtailed that.

Hmm don't remember anyone mentioning him coming off in the SANFL thread. Don't know what to read into there.

The only thing I can think of was a tackle/bump that happened to him out on the outer wing where I was watching, was in the 3rd quarter I reckon, he stayed down for a little bit and then got up favouring his arm but he did play out the game. By the collision type I would say it would more than likely be an AC joint sprain.

There was enough to say Grigg had done enough in the SANFL aswell, after all he did get 2nd in the B and F, infact Beech won it didn't he?

Josh on AA now and clearing up all the BS about the Crows supposedly covering up his broken ribs. Got stuffed about by the hospital etc. nothing to see here.
I don't know or care what the truth is, but Josh isn't exactly about to come out and say that admin were playing funny buggers with their reports on his injury. In any case it looks like he was close to playing this week and should hopefully be good to go next week.

Josh Jenkins 4 scans:
1st scan - check to see if he has ribs - tick!
2nd scan - check to see if he has human amounts of ribs, and no rib deficiencies or spare ribs - tick!
3rd scan - check...wait..what were we looking for again?
4th scan - oh right..yeah, cracked ribs!

Below I will try to speak in a more medical manner regarding my theory on what happened to JJ:
It was likely he sustained significant bruising around the ribs area. Xray would not elicit the amount of bruising sustained, they mainly look for obvious fractures.
JJ most probably sustained a hairline fracture of the ribs, which may not be apparent even with the MRI or what have you scans. Sometimes bruising injuries require several days for the true extent of the injury to show on scans. This is why JJ required several scans, as his pain did not appear to improve over the course of the week, so they needed repeated scans.
Think of JJ's injury as something akin to a stress fracture of the rib (hairline fracture).

You have to get a picture of the Tardis as your Avatar after that post,
But Good Post

You would hope that he would be getting a regular game by the end of the year given what we paid for him...if not, perhaps we should have traded that initial pick 11(?) for a 20 and 25 and grabbed him then plus someone else decent, the given Grigg the flick a year earlier since we had no intention of playing hime anyway

Ultimately he's a second year player trying to get into a winning team with a settled backline. Then when an opportunity to get a spot came up he got injured.

If he looks the goods in the SANFL I wouldn't be giving up on him even if he hasn't played a game by the end of the year.

This is a joke. Round 5 and we have had six hamstring injuries.

I don't see how doing some extra leg weights is going to give us a true competitive advantage. Yes we are quicker but that is due to personnel changes. We run out games well but aerobic fitness is a separate issue. What's the point of having slightly stronger leg muscles than the opposition if half our side ends up on the sidelines with torn hamstrings?
