I am no bio mech specialist, but do we think that Cockatoo needs to be re- taught how to run( sprint ) he seems to arch his back whilst still at full pace which ain't good for the hammys, Rioli style re trained?

He's borrowed the phantom zone projector from Josh Cowan.
Been documented several times he has achilles issues and is out currently because if it.

We havent had an official timeframe thoug which is interesting. If they were going to put him on the LTI i imagine they would have done it by now.

Still dont know what the go is with GHS. TBC. Haha sounds like Mitch Clark with TBC

On SM-G925I using BigFooty.com mobile app

Our "Health Report" video is out.

- J. Selwood nothing new.
- Esava requires surgery on a couple fractures in his hand, he did it by falling over... (the vision is actually pretty funny :p)
- Lang in full training and is a Test for this week.
- Blicavs can start running now, they need to see how he responds to the running before they can consider him for football.

So GHS is MIA still no news?

Who? ;)

Nah the only mention was at the end...

Short Term:
- Blicavs, GHS, Cockatoo, Esava.

Medium Term:
- J. Selwood

Long Term:
- Gregson, McCarthy, Narkle, Cowan

But that doesn't mean much... Cowan was a Test for like 10 weeks...

Ghs has been short term for weeks.

  • Rhys Stanley has a partial calf tear - unusual injury so hard to put a timeframe on recovery but could be right for this weekend. Listed as a 'test'
  • Joel Selwood (medium term) doing all the right things. Promising signs, he's walking around and started balance and strength work but still early days
  • Mark Blicavs (short term) is running and running fast in a straight line and this week they'll introduce change of direction. Recovery going well
  • Nakia Cockatoo (short term) also running but needs to do gym work before they get him running faster
  • George Horlin-Smith (short term) had achilles soreness. Running and not having any issues, but 2-3 weeks away from playing football
  • Josh Cowan has started his early running sessions and is able to run without achilles pain

So I reckon you'd wanna intro one of Blicavs and Cocky for GWS and Selwood and the remaining of the former for QF.
Stanley this week or GWS.
Not a bad scenario barring further significant injuries.
(Selwood for PF or Week 2 of Finals more likely though I reckon)

Lol as if they are going to play stanley with a partial calf tear and risk him getting more injured and missing finals. Sometimes i wonder about the quality of these injury reports.

Sounds like cowan might get enough movement back to play GFL next year which is good for him.

He was vague on the timeframes (maybe deliberately) but it sounds like blicavs is ahead of cockatoo in recovery timeframe.

Would be handy to have a healthier list but it is what it is.

The rest of the top 8 teams have had a really great run with injury. Rich, Adel and Syd especially.
Coming into a finals series this could be a huge factor in how we set up and play.
Plus the added worry of another Phil Davis MRP special!!!

hmmm not sure id say the Swans had a great run with injury.

They were 0-6 at the start of the year with player availability an issue in this.

Agreed Daz, was more referring to their 3 currently listed injured players against our 13. It's not the ideal build up to finals with a few cats coming back in, well and truly
Underdone.
