Adelaide Oval has been great for this state. Will save/make money as we have 1 great stadium instead of 2 substandard ones.

NRAH was needed to replace the old RAH, but imo should never have been a 30 year PPP as we are paying a far greater rate of return than had Treasury taken on the debt. Then there is the planning which didn't involve clinicians until too late.

The concept of transforming health is a good one, but the problem is the consultants who we paid gazillions too to help implement screwed it up. The concept of the North, Central & South treating the majority of their own patients in their catchment are is a good one... & to consolidate services to safe levels of activity.

Agree about Adelaide Oval, disagree about NRAH.

Almost every other city in the world can update/renovate their major hospital but that was somehow beyond us.

The NRAH was just a monument to Rann that will cost us a fortune for the next 30 years, this is why labour had to close /reduce services in all the other hospitals.

Having worked at the old RAH for years, including through mini-renovations, it really wasn't viable for a major upgrade. The infrastructure is completely outdated, contains asbestos & the wards can't be easily reconfigured for latest practice. It would have been wasting money as far easier to create a new hospital from scratch like other states have done. Further, it could not easily be done if patients & staff were on-site during a redevelopment.

The cost is more to do with the PPP & not involving clinicians in the design from the early stages.

Pies really appear to be missing the zip of Treloar from their midfield.
Cox is a big loss too structurally. They've lacked the one who can clunk a mark.

Indeed. Now gotta keep our eyes firmly fixed on three priorities: getting games into the kids, changing our fitness regime and nailing the draft
Weve made changes to our fitness regime, but I'd prefer we change personnel too. Soft tissue injuries dropping to high-normal rather than apocalyptic.

Looking at that 8, what a wasted year for us. Ugh.

And Port are having a dream ride.

Things could break for them yet. If it's Eagles/Port in the top two (and Richmond can't get their MCG free ride) then its anyone's premiership.

Port dumping trengove for amon in a horses for courses call is interesting, in that its what we're critical that our club never does. Its only one player so it shouldn't make much difference, but it will be a good case study.

3 marking contests within 5 minutes where 2-3 Freo players went up for a defensive mark unopposed and one of them spoil punches the ball out of their team mate’s hands.

Once is an accident. Twice is a coincidence. Three times is very poorly coached.

Freo's skills are so bad and have been for a few years. Real basic stuff. Which is a shame because they almost put some good chains together.
