Personally didn't rate Robbo myself, but Kemp was an over-sight.
I've seen enough of him to see a player there, the type we absolutely need too, a tough inside mid with clean skills and a strong forward craft.
That's a big miss IMO.

The knee is a massive risk.

Getting Cooper Stephens instead of Richmond is solid though. If we can get Rantall or Williams as another mid, I'll be stoked with that. Can't see us choosing Dev, given we passed twice on him already

The consensus of those bankers, tradies and labourers have been spot on the past 5 years. When they have been happy on draft night we have done well. When they haven't we have done poorly.

It is for sure, I felt the Cats had the unique position where we wouldn't require me to play ASAP, we could rehab him fully, give him time in the VFL then groom him to take over from Paddy.
He went the next pick anyway, so it wasn't a HUGE issue, and he is easily a top 5-8 talent.

I was one who was keen on Robertson but considering all the other clubs have passed on him and no one has tried to trade up for him, you have the back the clubs choice.

Gould is my pick, or best available.
De Koning fills a tall back need (a REALLY tall back) and Cooper fills a TK type of midfield need (in that he's pretty good in tight, somewhat explosive, is neat by foot, although it looks early he lacks the 1 touch that TK has) so I'd say some pace from halfback or a ruckman if available.

Im already commited to saying I back his judgement ... Robbertson into R2 is a surprise..but its like my Gould point.... he went past a heap of clubs... its not just us..
