Can someone explain why Adelaide went for McAsey that early? Really ****ed that up given the talent they could have picked up.

Fwiw they could have gone as far as Bergman, Weightman and been better off. But to miss Serong, Young, Henry, Green, Flanders and Pickett from Woodville is damning.

Certainly in hindsight it is an error.

At the time I don't remember it being considered a reach.

Off u18 performance, he was the best tall in it after Jackson. His big issue (besides lack of pace, which isn’t necessarily a huge issue if you sit on gorilla forwards) was in his head.

So with respect to Adelaide just a little unlucky in this case? Or could they have identified this in the interviews.

Fyfe is washed mate, “top shelf”

Yeah just a coincidence we’ve gone from being destroyed at center clearance last year to smashing teams around the ball again with Fyfe back at the coalface.

Just because he doesn’t take hangers and do the flash stuff anymore he’s still one touch & sees the game faster than others in tight.

Also not a coincidence Serong is racking up career best numbers and Young getting to work on the outside with Fyfe doing the heavy lifting of getting first hands.

Fyfe playing the Mundy role of 2022.
It’s beautiful
