So it’s becoming clear AFLW will never be a legitimate league just a pre season carnival. It’s required by broadcasters to fill some sport weeks, nothing else.

The state leagues like VFLW will do the heavy lifting re training, wages etc etc

So. Play the state leagues as now, but don’t have different AFLW teams with different blends of players


So when they want a pre season women’s carnival, take the top teams from each state competition, and have a 16team straight knockout carnival.

Translation: "Hawthorn were VFL Women's premiers this year."

AFLW is such a meaningless exercise and yet certain club presidents are absolutely spewing they missed out on a license...
