More so pick disputes I would guess. They have no one we want in terms of comparable or lesser value. Is it possible the Brown deal is being held up because we are trying to secure one of their players?

The Herald Sun understands the Cats are prepared to use that selection, having secured it from Carlton in the Lachie Fogarty trade.
The Cats handed over pick 38 for 30 and 51 in this year's draft.
The Cats are aware of how potent Higgins would be on the half forward flank, effectively replacing Gary Ablett.
The Roos have always wanted a quality pick given their acceptance that Higgins is heading home to Geelong for family reason.
Much more acceptable.Pick 26 and Higgo for Geelong's pick 20 and 30.
Values Higgo at pick 24 which kangas would have to be happy with but Geelong may be a little line ball on this.

Sob story is getting better and better.....what's next, an ill parent??
Pick 30 might end up coming down a bit if Western bulldogs end up with a few picks in the twenties that get absorbed by the JUH bid.
Gibbs is 31 now. He was traded a couple years ago.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story boys.Gibbs was 27 & coming off a top 4 finish in Carlton’s B&F.

You only get Alan Bond once in a generation, that was this generation's.Bryce Gibbs and Adelaide springs to mind
The AFL will not allow clubs to submit trades before 3pm on the last day of the trade period on Thursday to retain an element of suspense.
NoHypothetically, if we got hold of Picks 7+8 as part of the Dunkley deal, would you guys do
Pick 2 + Pick 28 + future 2nd or 3rd
For
Pick 7 + Pick 8 + Pick 14

The league last year moved its trade period finish to prime time, with the trade period to finish at 7.30pm on Thursday.
Last year there was a rush of late trades but Tom Papleyand Joe Daniher's deals did not go through.PLAYERCARDSTART11Tom Papley

To ensure there is enough trade discussion the league has told clubs they cannot lodge any deals until the afternoon.
Any deal involving Collingwood's Adam Treloarcould go down to the wire given Collingwood's determination to get him off their books, with the Dogs the only suitor.PLAYERCARDSTART1Adam Treloar

While there has been much speculation about whether the league might shorten the trade period, it has monetised it with its Trade Radio program.
Fox Footy also carries a nightly trade show Trading Day, with media across the spectrum reporting exceptional numbers for all trade-related product.
The league has always been open about its intention to someday introduce a mid-season trade period.
Next year it may introduce a floating mid-season draft that sees clubs able to elevate players from state leagues after Round 4, Round 8 and Round 12.
would like Constable added to 30 if 30 is the only pick we're getting

Pick 30 for a 33 year old is a good deal.
When has a club paid more for someone of that age?
