Absolutely unavoidable, haven't won in the last 20 League games (0-9-11) AFC Wimbledon gave him as long as they possibly could. Not sure we can hope to attract the right person for 7 games, in the relegation zone and with a team value about a tenth of the bigger League One teams.

Still even a dead cat bounce might keep the Dons up one more time and so thanks Robinson and here's hoping.

Nice little piece of trivia for any fans of the Valiants, their 2-0 win over Sutton United on the weekend makes them the only club in the top four leagues to have recorded a victory against the other 91 clubs in a league game.

Crazy game at Wrexham. They go 2-0 up early, Dover level before HT. Then Dover player scores a hat trick with 20 mins of second half to take the bottom side 5-2 up away against the second top side. Wrexham score two in injury time to win 6-5!

Job share?

Will be interesting to see if they announce someone before Saturday's game, this has been a long time coming and so you'd hope they are fairly organised with who they want to take over.

Ok that's more like it an experienced manager without ties to the club. About the best we could hope for.

Thanks for your service Charles and apologies for the lack of faith you didnt put a foot wrong in your 28 hours as caretaker manager.

A 98th minute goal for Carlisle has helped us to a 2-2 draw at playoff hunting Tranmere in what turned out to be a rather spiteful match. Tranmere had a player sent off just before halftime for a rough challenge and a second in the 91st minute also for a bad challenge.

There was also a huge melee near the tunnel after the first red card which involved a number of players and staff, with the Ref handing out six yellow cards including one to each Manager.

We are now 13pts clear of the relegation places with six games to go.:thumbsu:

Mitrovic scores his 37th goal of the campaign to win the west London derby over QPR away 2-0.
Exciting times for Fulham with promotion almost certain and the new riverside stand near completion.

2-1 Loss and not even close to the quality of Wednesday. Long term relegation will be good for Wimbledon but hopefully they can bounce back sooner rather than later. Nice article about where the Dons are at.

The bottom of the football league looks very interesting now, Scun-thorpe look gone, the National League could be confirmed as early as next weekend with a trip to Leyton Orient, but the remaining relegation position is up for grabs with Barrow, Oldham and Stevenage all equal on 37 points.

Barrow's remaining six games are against Forest Green (H), Salford (A), Sutton (H), Exeter (A), Swindon (A) and Northampton (A)
Oldham's remaining five games are against Northampton (H), Forest Green (A), Salford (H), Tranmere (A) and Crawley (H).
Stevenage's remaining six games are against Rochdale (H), Scun-thorpe (A), Tranmere (H), Mansfield (A), Carlisle (A) and Salford (H)

Looking at that draw, Barrow has the hardest run with all six teams still in the battle for either an automatic promotion spot or playoff spot. Swindon is the lowest placed team in 11th just four points outside the promotion places with a game in hand.

Oldham also has a difficult draw with four of the five team they play still battling for an automatic promotion spot or playoff spot. Their final game is against 12th placed Crawley who need a miracle to make the playoffs.

There will be a lot of nervous fans watching intently for the next month.

Stevenage has the easiest draw with three opponents in the bottom third, including last placed Scun-thorpe who have only won four games for the entire season.

This could come down to goal difference, at the moment Barrow has the best at -14 followed by Oldham at -18 and Stevenage at -25.

Farewell Football League. It has been fun.

I hope Oldham can make the relegation battle interesting.
since this result, we have won a grand total of 1 game(ironically, the next match) in 13 matches. drew 2. plus this.

Our 2 highest goal scorers, we both sold in Jan. They only scored 4 goals each.

haven't scored in consecutive games since Nov-Dec 2021.

We are so bad. Think the Devonport Strikers would be a decent chance against this pathetic team.

Down 3-0 after half an hourand the commentators are talking about the worst ever performance by a Scampaignerhorpe team. At least it is entertaining in a sick way. When you think it can't get worse, we find a way to outdo ourselves.

Okay, WTF just happened, relegation threatened Barrow just defeated League leaders Forest Green 4-0. Moves the Bluebirds a game and goal difference clear of the relegation zone with five games to go.

All the best to Scun-thorpe and their supporters, it not a nice feeling when your team is relegated out of the football league, but it can be a blessing, although it’s generally a season or two before you realise it. I hope you have immediate success next season and win your way back into the football league.

might not be rock bottom. see close by York City. Or it could be a new start, see Grimsby this year. They were a mess last year but are chasing the playoffs this year. But the comparison with Grimsby is flawed. They at least were competitive last year. We have won 4 games all year. -53 GD, our worst ever. way worse when we were in the championship shipping goals for fun. at least we could score back in those days

I think most fans would accept a 16th place finish next year. That lowly finishing position would be an improvement on our last 4 league finishes, 23rd(L1), 20th, 22nd and 24th.

I cant understate how bad we are. All we had was effort and fight all year and now that is gone. Im sorry Oldham. We are single-handedly going to relegate you guys when we get to play Stevenage next. They will win and rack up the goal difference. LO went easy on us after being 3-0 up in 30 mins. It would have been 7 or 8 if they really wanted to

Wimbledon lost to last placed Crewe (3-1) and that's us done, will be relegated for the first time since the club's restart.

It's crazy how badly our attack has regressed. After 7 games Wimbledon had scored 15 goals, more than any other club in League 1 and looked well on their way to at least a mid table finish. In the next 36 games they would only score another 29 goals. The club never came close to replacing Palmer and will likely lose even more talent as we drop back to League Two.

Had to happen and long term will likely be a good thing but it stings a little tonight as I really want to see the Dons playing in the Championship.

Bolton just moving along OK to finish the year. 1-1 draws with Wigan, Portsmouth & Sheffield Wednesday, followed by a win at Doncaster.
All tidy and secure with a top half finish, but the year’s over.
Damn that horror spell in November / December.
Since then, we’ve only lost two league games in 2022, but it takes a WHOLE season to really progress.
Good, but not good enough.
I’ll give it a 7/10.
Good luck to all in promotion / relegation battles.
