From what I've seen of him the idea that "Lukosious being a good kick" is one of the biggest myths in football.

Lukosious is the best kick of the footy in the comp if he has time. Suspect as the Suns game plan exposes him.
Would be a superstar in the right team/role and with a coach that drives him harder.

Doubt Sheezel gets to *. Wouldn't be a surprise to see him go to Norf at 1 (or 2).

However, Suns might come into play... Sheezel would really suit them, with Rankine heading home. And Norf may be willing to trade down (in fact have said they would consider offers). Suns also want future picks for their bounty draft next year.

So...
Rankine (Suns) -> Adelaide
Pick 5 (Adelaide) -> Suns
Pick 1 + Future 2 (Norf) -> Suns
Pick 5 + 7 (Suns) -> Norf

New draft order:
1. Suns -> Ashcroft (matched), Sheezel
2. WCE -> Wardlaw
3. GWS -> Tsatas
4. * -> Clark/Philipou/Humphrey
5. Norf -> Cadman
6. Hawks -> ?
7. Norf -> Busslinger

Gives Norf a chance then to pick up some bookends - Busslinger & Cadman, which would prob suit them better than a mid. And gives the Suns an extra 2nd round pick next year.

It sounds like getting Sheezel is going to be tough and Brayden George’s knee injury puts a dark cloud over us selecting him.

Bailey Humphrey gets mentioned but I havent seen much of much of him as he was injured for the Under 18s carnival.

Does anyone have a view on if he is any good?

Compare Pioneers against other NAB league teams, they will probably still fall short...

Swans academy teach their players how to play the Sydney way...
When they are drafted they are mostly ready to go in the Sydney environment...

Top priorities will be a mid - fwd or a KPD at p10/11.
Realistically Phillipou or Keeler and I’d be stoked, two quality prospects with great potentia.

Mid-tall Defenders: Weddle
Midfield/Defender: Hustwaite, Ginbey

Sholl would help address the first, both in the short and longer term given his age. If we go that route, I'd also be happy to add one or both of Acres/Phillips depending on cost. Go from Cottrell and LOB on the wings, to Acres and Sholl, with Phillips/Cottrell and LOB as the depth for each wing.

Leaves our first pick to address the midfield pace issue - find the Bailey Smith type who will tuck the ball under his arm, gain 20m of territory and then kick long to a forward's advantage. Bailey Humphrey reminds me quite a bit of Smith, a bit shorter on endurance though so he's maybe more of a burst mid than a permanent one. Next closest options around our pick would be Hewett or Mackenzie I think. Whoever we take here I'd hope we have a plan to integrate them into the seniors sooner rather than later though - someone with a bit of forward craft would be ideal so they can rotate off a forward flank.

Or we look at a tall, though I'll die on the hill of taking a late prospect tall rather than using an early pick.

Trade for wings, first pick on a quick contested mid type who can kick to a forward's advantage while on the run, later picks on best available with an eye out for an aggressive raw tall who can develop their craft in the ressies.
