Van Es being ranked at 50 isn't 'interesting' at all, it's pretty much where he's rated everywhere outside of this board where we have an inexplicable hardon for him for some reason.
Because we are desperate for a CHB to stand the King’s and Thilthorpe’s moving forward. He has great athletic qualities and has reasonable exposed form. May be the best talent (similar to Balta) in and around our selections.

If Lemmy gone, Van Es please and thank you. If Lemmy still available I would be taking first.

Time to get deep and meaningful with the annual 'let's find the funniest draftee's name' list. Not that we should laugh at people's names - except when it's a case of what were their parents thinking?

In that category we find given names such as:

Ashtyn
Kydan
Jhett
Steely
Tyreece
Baynen
Jayke
Jaylon
Bayliegh

But it's also reassuring to find some traditional names that you don't see much any more, with a couple of Georges and a Nigel. However, there are no Johns - except as part of a surname.

Sturt 'product' Stirling Phipps-Parsons sounds very traditional, but should probably be pursuing a Rugby career with a name like that. Griffith Julian may have filled his nomination form the wrong way around, and I wonder if Mitch Miller still has his gang. Brian Taylor may be challenged by names such as Kye Pfrengle and Giorgio Varagianis.

Some other names that gave me a chuckle for no reason other than shallowness and boredom include:

Yu Yu Ashwin
Felix Flockhart
Liam Loverso
Phoenix Prince
Liam Puncher
Tristen Waack

The full list is here - including old mate Wylie Buzza and an even older Phil Davis, who I thought had realised he was well and truly cooked.
Jhett lol

Rozee was a mid fielder in under age comps and at national championships, won the U/16 national champs medal, but when he got picked for North Adelaide's league side, Carr put him on the HBF to protect him, think he was only 72kgs, and to use his speed. He did a bit better than play the seagull HBFer role, but he wasn't a lockdown player when he played those 12 or 15 games for North's league side at HBF in 2018.
In the above clips Barkla is obviously playing as a midfielder…….. not “just another HBF”…… we’ll see how he goes.

Dare I say that's interesting 🤔

Dare I say that's interesting 🤔

No Lemmey or Noah Long. Jed Hagan around our pick, seeing as we keep getting linked to impact small forwards.

There is a soccer player named Paul Dickov .

True WW2 story, an English POW escaped from Germany under the pseudonym “I. Bagerov”. Not sure how good his Bulgarian language skills were!

All those, and you ignored the likely top ten pick known cryptically as “Female Horse Crap”?

Be nice if Ryan at 27 could drop a bit lower.
Still looks the best available footballer around our pick.
