List Mgmt. 2022 AFL Draft

Twomey seems to think there's some chance Hayes will slide, maybe he's been telling clubs his dream is to play footy with his brother who is staying at Port. 😁

Is Lemmey mentioned at all by Twomey with any club? Rookie Me Central didn't mention him at all and Knightmare at ESPN had him out to the 50s. Seems odd.

I’d imagine Sam would be telling him to stay away

I have it on absolute rock solid authority that the player Port really had it's heart set on is going to be taken the pick before our first. :(

Happen to know a friend of a mate, who is a cousin to a girl dating Kripps' daughter, and he has the inside doss. Can't mention the player's name or I'll get in trouble though!!!

i also enjoy increasing my post count

Latest intel: The Power won’t be big players in this year’s draft after their frantic trade period, so their best hope is someone high on their draft board falls down the order. Rival clubs believe they’ll look at taking a key defender with one of their selections, with James Van Es and Jed Adams both linked to the club. Although if gun WA small forward-midfielder Darcy Jones is still on the board by the time they pick, the Power would find it hard to ignore him. Port Fairy product Toby McMullin — the son of Ian McMullin, who kicked 55 goals from 49 AFL games for Collingwood and Essendon in the late 1980s and early 90s — has also reportedly attracted some interest from the Power.

Best-case scenario: Jones and/or Lewis Hayes — the brother of current Power ruck Sam Hayes — are both available at the Power’s first draft selection and one of Van Es or McMullin slips to their Pick 60.

Worst-case scenario: Their aggressive trade period has left them with no capital — either in this year’s or next year’s draft — to work with, so they don’t get a draft board ‘slider’.

"Rival clubs believe" - aka Port's recruiting guys wouldn't return my calls

A young KPD years off does sfa for us in the immediate.
Bit like Super the longer you leave it the poorer you will be in the ftuture. We need to bring young kpds in now as our stocks are about to fall off a cliff. We cant just count on snatching quality from somewhere else next year. Doubt Phillips is answer, but ok with using 60s on him.

We are paying for never drafting quality young KPD's in the first round of drafts, the picks we have in this draft are barrel scrapping for young KPD's.

Long term KPD options past pick 30 are at best Clurey-esque
Well our hopes are currently pinned on a rookie list pick, Pasini, so I hope we find a way to develop these picks. Of course it is a bit more hit or miss deep, but there's been plenty of deep or rookie list success stories and succeeding with those picks and finding role player key backs is what takes you to the top IMO.

The reality is the club think the window is open hence why they tried Skinner then went after Asava, I don't think there much gripe over trying say Phillips over drafting a project KPD that will likely never make it out of the SANFL in that pick range.

I am of the opposite of thinking. Late 1st and 2nd Round, you can really pick up a great KPD prospect.

Jack Lever 14
Aliir Aliir 44
Brayden Maynard 30
Tom Stewart 40
Sam Taylor 28
Sam de Koenig 19
Tom Barrass 43
Harrison Petty 37

It is just whether they can develop KPDs in our average system which we have had real problems during the Hinkley run.
