I didn't make my point well. What I meant was that we will have less mature bodies as depth, so trading away a best 22 player is fraught with danger as we may have to play a kid who isn't ready. That's all.You wot m8?
That list of players is the largest list of crabs ever compiled since they took a manifesto of a dangerous catch boat.
In what bloody world would we fall away because Mitch Brown, Majak Daw, Oscar Baker and Luke Dunstan came off the list![]()
None of the players you mentioned play in his position except Hibberd, Boweys not even in the 'best 22'I didn't make my point well. The argument was for why we shouldn't trade him for draft picks - we should only trade him for a ready-to-go, fills a need player (eg KPF). Hence why the fact those players aren't in his position wasn't relevant, big guyNone of the players you mentioned play in his position except Hibberd, Boweys not even in the 'best 22'
Plus we also get another best 22 player. I think that's a crazy argument, why worry about depth when you're trying to fight for a flag. You wanna improve the top end not the bottom
Its weird it's almost like you need picks to trade for needs. The argument was for why we shouldn't trade him for draft picks - we should only trade him for a ready-to-go, fills a need player (eg KPF). Hence why the fact those players aren't in his position wasn't relevant, big guy
Literally just watching the round so far and had the same thoughtAlex Sexton kicked six for GC yesterday, hasn't been getting a game for them all year pretty much. He'd be someone id look at also.

Definitely.Alex Sexton kicked six for GC yesterday, hasn't been getting a game for them all year pretty much. He'd be someone id look at also.
Yeah he's a good natural forward he can kick em without much time.Always liked Sexton. He is a bit of goal hungess but he does have an X factor. Ive always rated him since he kicked 5 against us late one year when we flogged GC at the G.
I really like him. Such a clever player over such a long timeYeah we really need to be having a massive crack at Gunston..Still playing great footy.
Surely not?
Was bored comparing forwards accidentally came across this,
Would love a 22 year old neitz casually slotting them through from the edge of the centre square.
I do agree. I think anything that helps us bring in a key forward is something I would approve. Hibberd is just about the only guy I trust to defend on opposition small forwards. In time I think Bowey can be this guy.Trading Salem would depend on what he's prepared to stay for, salary wise.
My preference would be to keep him and train him up as the starting winger next year. But I couldn't signing him to a new contract on what would be decent coin until he shows he can dominate that role.
With Bowey and Riv across half back we need the third small defender to be a lockdown type, Hibberd protege more than we need Salem.
